  1. This is happening to me too. No Control Panel but I can get to my sets thru ADAMANTIUM’s workaround.
  2. Signature Series Modern Slow Track - 14 books Sent by facilitator so no idea when they were delivered 11/30 - Received 11/30 - Credit card charged 12/1 - SFG 12/1 - GEI 12/1 - Grading/QC 12/2 - Shipped Super fast but the grades were highly disappointing. Perhaps damage occurred during the signing. Will know more when they arrive. I have another Modern SS order that was received on 11/8 (after pressing) that’s still in SFG so the quickness above balances out
  3. More Tall Tales! I never picked up the original Tall Tales because I think most of it was just a reprint of Stupid Stupid Rat Tails. From what I understand, this edition will have all new art so I’m definitely curious.
  4. Modern Signature Series Submission from NYCC - Slow Track Shipped by facilitator so no idea when the package was delivered 11/15 - Received 11/15 - Credit card charged 11/17 - SFG 11/17 - GEI 11/18 - Grading/QC 11/21 - Shipped (working on the weekend I guess ) 5 business days Very happy with the grades. Hopefully no errors on the label and minimal Newton rings
  5. I wasn’t going to speak about the condition of the book before the auction completed. When I first saw it pop up on Heritage and I really started looking at the scans, I was shocked it was a 9.8. The 9.6 I own looks better and was graded just a few months before this one. I obviously can’t see the interiors so maybe that’s the difference To me, it’s definitely on the lower end of other 9.8s I’ve seen. Still a nice copy though and the new owner should enjoy it.
  6. About a day to go and it’s at $6.9k with BP. In the past, the bigger collectors of this series wait until the last moment so I think it will see at least a little action after the proxy bidding has ended. Personally, I think it will get to $14k. Anyone else with a prediction?
  7. Might as well add Thorn: Tales from the Lantern to Bone (Complete with Variants). No idea how this could be scored but my guess would be 5 times as much as the Bone #1 first print. Only 9 on the census at the moment as the lone 9.8 had its label turned in. I know free market prices are only part of the equation but the last sale was a CGC 8.5 back in August 2021 for 11.4k.
  8. Because so few of the graded #1s are sold, it’s hard to know if you’ve overpaid. Personally, I don’t think you did. It’s a really nice copy!
  9. Rat Tails is a decent story. Not a fan of the monkey character but Big Johnson Bone was funny. What did you think?
  10. Rat Creatures is interesting for #1 but the Bone cousins, Red Dragon, and Ted are already listed. It’s a shame that the two primary Rat Creatures who appear throughout the series aren’t named, which would make this one easier. The Possum Kids are probably more significant than Miz Possum since they reappear in the Rock Jaw storyline (specifically Bone #29-32). I think Miz Possum just appears in #2 and #12. I don’t necessarily disagree with their inclusion. Thorn and Gran’ma Ben are already listed however. The three tavern dwellers who have different rolls in the series depending on the differing storylines (specifically The Great Cow Race, The Dragonslayer, Old Man’s Cave, and Ghost Circles) should probably be listed as well: #6 - 1st appearance of Jonathan Oaks #8 - 1st appearance of Euclid #9 - 1st appearance of Wendell I’ll have to look through the individual issues to figure out which issue has Jonathan’s death. I like the addition of The Mystery Cow! Why didn’t I think of that
  11. In case any of you are sending in these 1st print issues for grading, there are some first appearances and significant events that I think should be on the labels. I’ve sent emails to them in the past but nothing below has shown up in the notes yet. Here’s my list and please add anything if you think it belongs: #4 - 1st appearance of Kingdok and The Hooded One #5 - 1st appearance of Lucius Down #23 - 1st appearance of Bartleby (some of the #22s have this designation and it’s incorrect) #28 - 1st appearance of Roque Ja (incorrectly listed as “Roque Ja Bone”) #36 - The Hooded One’s identity revealed #48 - 1st appearance of Lord Tarsil #50 - “Death” of Lord Tarsil #54 - “Death” of Kingdok, Lucius Down, and The Hooded One #55 - Thorn becomes Queen of the Valley
  12. Still the only 9.9 from the regular series. There are 9.9s for the acetate-covered Wizard Ace Edition and 10s & 9.9s for the mini Halloween comics printed in 2008 but just this copy for issues #1-55.
  13. I often forget about Bone’s international audience so thanks for the reminder. According to Cartoon Books, it’s been translated into 30+ languages. I also read on the Boneville site that the black & white version of the One Volume Edition is on its 28th printing.
  14. Two weeks away from the 9.8 #1 closing on Heritage where it presently sits at $5160 with BP. Any guesses on where it could end up?
  15. This is normal. I have a Modern/CCS submission currently in the system that took over a month to show as received when it was delivered in mid February (received at CCS on March 21st). I’ll guess that they have a ton of new submissions from NYCC and Baltimore CC.
  16. My Walkthru shipped today. You may want to contact them about your order. Here’s my rundown: 10/13 - Arrived at CGC facility 10/14 - Received at CCS 10/17 - CCS in Process 10/17 - Credit card charged for CCS 10/20 - Received at CGC 10/20 - Scheduled For Grading 10/24 - GEI 10/25 - Grading/QC 10/25 - Credit Card charged for CGC 10/27 - Shipped Turnaround was 5 working days at CCS and 6 working days at CGC.
  17. My Walkthru entered Grading/QC today (received at CGC on 10/20). Will let you know if it goes to shipping anytime soon.
  18. I’ll take a look. Were the “calendarized pages” one of the reasons for the change from Copper to Modern? This is what I’ve never seen before.
  19. Got the book yesterday and started flipping thru it. Did anyone else see how it defines/redefines the Bronze/Copper and Modern Ages? Bronze/Copper is now 1970 to 1999 and Modern is 2000 to present day based on how comic book pages were produced: primarily newsprint in the Bronze/Copper Age and calendarized paper in the Modern Age. It makes sense that a comic book grading company would use these definitions but have never seen this referenced on the boards before. Thoughts?
  20. I had a Walkthru go from CCS to SFG in four business days. Guess I’ll hit a similar slowdown at CGC
  21. This is definitely not unique for the bigger books. There’s a “Bone #1 curve” too.
  22. Forgot to mention that I’d also be shocked if this was one of the Tuki copies. It would have to be mentioned in the description (I would think).
  23. I saw that CGC mentioned a Paul Dini signing with a retrospective video on their Facebook page on 10/3 so I think it already happened.
