I personally just like the look of it slabbed. I have plenty of books that I never intend to sell as long as I live (though it would be nice to have something ready to go for my family when I pass...sorry, just got dark. Ha ha.). It's also a nice feeling that the comic is fairly well protected.

Yeah, I got an email from CGC about my submission a week ago maybe. I'm hoping, like some suggested, to have the option to get my comic reslabbed with the special George Perez label they were offering and have the money go to him and his family, but I have yet to hear anything further from CGC.

I always trust in Gemini mailers (fortunately I have a ton of them due to buying so many comics via eBay). I'd wrap the comic or comics in bubble wrap and slap it into one of these...

If you're going for a Venom #3, I'd recommend the third print with Knull on the cover. It's going for slightly more than the first print, but I think in the long run, it'll be the more desired. I think it's a cooler cover as well. With Knull out of the picture for the moment, I think now is a good time to buy before his inevitable resurrection. Also, I'd recommend snatching up a Venom #9, which is the first full appearance of Dylan Brock. The price is still low right now, and I see them doing more and more with him in the future. As for your list, I'd focus on the Venom #1 1:1000 variant. Sweet cover.

I find they charge around the beginning of the grading process.

My Modern track submissions received back on 6/21/2021 have finally moved to "CCS in Process".

I can get a lower grade copy for that though. If I'm buying a slab, I'm generally trying to get the highest grade I can afford.

I have yet to understand the motivation to crack slabs other than getting the books regraded or signed. That's just me though.

Good idea, yeah. In regards to New Avengers #7, it's the first appearance of the Illuminati, which is heavily hinted at in the Doctor Strange trailer that dropped yesterday.

Hoping for the best, but I’m not familiar with the writer. As for his identity, if the rumors are true, I don’t really have any strong thoughts on it.
