  1. Thanks for the input, ye of seven posts. Welcome to the ignore list.
  2. If I get enjoyment out of it, it's not wasteful. Your elitist attitude does not change that.
  3. It's not a waste if the person getting the comic slabbed likes how it looks that way. Too many people judging how people collect in this thread.
  4. It's much ado about nothing, IMO.
  5. I do wonder though how much of a non-color breaking spine tick could get pressed out. Could you get it down to 1/16 of an inch?
  6. Yeah, I'm not gonna blame the consumer for the TATs. I'm sure much of what I submit would be considered drek by many, but I have my reasons. CGC just needs to step up their game, though I doubt that will happen without some serious backlash.
  7. My irritation is more towards the person who actually bought it, and for that much. Ha ha.
  8. (sigh) If I had any faith in humanity left, this would have removed a good chunk of it.
  9. If they are facts, prove them. All I see is someone who is projecting their own bias onto the marketplace.
  10. I'm not sure your opinion matches up with the marketplace. Signed stuff on eBay seems to go for more than unsigned stuff.
  11. Nice! I got one as well, but ungraded. Maybe I'll send it in with my next batch of submissions.
  12. Are you kidding? From issue 100 to the high 200's, it's a treasure trove. I'm trying to complete the run (most of the stuff I'm missing is in the 200's), and I'm having to take it sloooooow.
  13. I could never see myself trusting my LCS with my books, and stories like this are part of the reason why.
  14. Ah, thanks. I hadn't seen this particular one in person. I just know many of the ashcans I have are the same size as a standard comic.
  15. Yeah, that's the one. I thought the dimensions for ashcans were smaller myself, as I've had a few like you mentioned, but many are the size of regular comics these days. I have several from Scout that are the same size as regular comics, only fewer pages.
  16. Yeah, I believe they were. My comment wasn't the clearest. Ha ha. I just meant I'd be bothered far more by a miscut comic than one that is misaligned in the well. A couple taps WOULD probably take care of that.
  17. A lot of mine are slightly misaligned. I suspect pressing exacerbates that (all of mine are pressed), but unless it's very noticeable, I don't think it affects value much. Miscuts bother me a lot more. If I'm buying a slab, I tend to look for one where the art is aligned correctly, not necessarily the comic itself.
  18. We know this already. We want it changed.
  19. Primordial was pretty anticlimactic at the end. I loved Mazebook, and Gideon Falls is one of my favorite series. I haven't finished the Sweet Tooth series on Netflix either, but it was decent enough IMO that I'll go back sometime and finish watching it.
