It's more of a Crain thing. He's the only one I've seen that does this with signatures. The upcoming CGC signing event with him is placing his various types of signatures into different pricing tiers.

It was my impression that this would be her first appearance in a comic though.

"Should" is a less than reliable concept in the spec market.

Yeah, I have a fairly sizable stack of potential submissions myself, but I just can't motivate myself to send them in only to have to wait a good nine months for them to come back.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars #1 is up there as well, though maybe not as high as UF4.

Yeah, I'm glad I collected a nearly complete run from #1 to #210 about twelve years ago, but filling in the holes from #211 into the high 200's now is proving to be painful.

Second Sight put out a slew of one-shots last week. I wonder if any of the others will get a bump in value as well. As for "These Damn Kids", there are web exclusive covers available at Second Sight's site: https://www.secondsightpublishing.com/store I grabbed the virgin variant. The regular covers are sold out there.

I'm so glad that my LCS didn't have the regular covers of HRA 2 when it came out, "forcing" me to buy the incentive variant.

For what price though? I know my Spawn #243 didn't come cheap.

In the Marvel universe, first appearances more often than not lead to nothing, but first appearances in the Star Wars universe, for some reason, seem to gain more traction. At least, it seems that way with the Star Wars books in my collection, both Dark Horse and Marvel.
