  1. Hey he could have just said - I used to be but I made good and now I'm off, check the latest list instead of the outdated one you're referring to - instead of getting in a tizzy.
  2. OK Fish, you're busted, what was your crime and who was the victim? Time to fess up and face the music. Colonel Mustard was found dead in the den and I did it with a candle holder. If any of the apple polishers here want to keep outing people, maybe they should keep up with current events and at least save a copy of the probation list as its updated. Enlighten us.
  3. Metro is OK, but I would rather peruse through books in long boxes and come up with gems rather than me calling up and having specific books pulled for me and then inspecting them...I felt that I lost the thrill of the hunt. The place has its charm - vintage movie posters, framed original art, but not much of a store...they're really there as a warehouse for mail order. The funny thing was that I waited around for a bit and just wandered about and ran into a stack of original comic art for and Action Comics 170ish that was just lying around on a stack of boxes. The only regret I have was that I was planning on going to the Time Machine but the day that I went, Tuesday, they were closed. Who closes on a Tuesday? I have to preface my opinions of NYC by disclosing that's where I grew up. I think NYC is wonderful and the best place to live, in my opinion. I took my family to all the museums, ate hot dogs, pizza, kinishes, and took in a concert at Lincoln Center.
  4. Here's a couple I just picked up from Metro when I was in NYC. First, ASM 12 And second, ASM 30
  5. Thanks guys. I hope to pick up a couple more while I'm in NYC.
  6. [font:Century Gothic]My recent acquisitions in my quest of 1-100.[/font]
  7. That's a sweet ASM 24. One of my fav Ditko covers.
  8. I would strongly agree that books with less than $100 should not be submitted...that's actually about borderline as your cost for slabbing will be at least $35/book... Post for starters issues 1-10 in the PGM-book Thread and we'll help with the grades and values...once the price is right for both seller and buyer, ASM always gets snapped up in 24-48 hours...especially for issues 1-50... 24-48 Hours? Make that 24-48 minutes, if that, especially if they are priced propperly. Spideys are typically good sellers in that range...just ask trmoore54, he's sold me quite a few in my collection...all his under coppies.
  9. Amazing to see that at least 3 FF#1s went up for sale this weekend. That has to be some record.
  10. Thanks to trmoore54 & Foolkiller for filling in some more gaps in my ASM run.
  11. Super Kudos to Superman2006 for a lightning fast payment for Victoria's Original art! You rock!
  12. Wow, that 45 looks dripping wet with that vibrant Yellow.
  13. Major Kudos to mikephoen for quick payment from the great white north.
  14. Nice combination of two genres...I guess it was supposed to draw in a more prominent crowd. Nice book!
  15. Kudos to Comicdey for some awesome ASMs and a little surprise. Thanks for everything!
  16. Kudos to MSParkinson for a couple of very sweet and early ASMs!
  17. Two recent double sigs: ASM 539 signed by Stan Lee and J.M. Staczynski. and Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness #1 Variant signed by Robert Kirkman and Arthur Suydam.
  18. 40 Years! Glad to know there are a few people older than me. Nice book, Tom. The simplicity of the cover doesn't bother me at all...the one thing that bugs me is that pesky "L" in LEARN. I've seen a few with the L that's not on the spine. For the longest time I thought my low grade copy had just dropped the letter altogether.
  19. Super white cover! Very nice. High grade Spideys. Yup, can't wait to get it in hand. Shouldn't this technically be a bondage cover?
