  1. Sure, hit me up with a PM. I attended the first MythosCon up in Phoenix earlier this year and it was a blast. I checked out the Doc-Con page....sounds like a pretty small get together, but I'm game (thumbs u
  2. I picked up a great lot of 1950's science fiction/horror paperbacks at an estate sale Saturday. It doesn't look as if any of them have been read at all - glossy covers like they were just purchased off the book rack. $10 for the whole pile
  3. Is the name painted up at the top 'Harmony Short Bus'? No, it says Harmony Short Line I was going to ask if you were psychic until I saw it written at the bottom
  4. I'll be listing a couple short boxes of mostly Archie related titles, but also a few Millie related items beginning on the 4th for everyone to ignore at their leisure About 200 low and mid-grade books - good readers or gap-fillers.
  5. I have lower grade copies of The Incredible Hulk 181 and Amazing Spider-Man 129 that I'm thinking about doing a reverse-auction type listing on this weekend to make up for spending too much money in ciorac's thread Rough grades....the ASM is around 3.5-4.0 and the IH is probably a 2.0-2.5, but is missing the MVS. Need to watch a movie first, but hope to get around to it sometime this evening. I'll probably start a bit on the high end and drop a certain amount each hour or so until they sell.
  6. I wonder who is the dude from Florida. Whoever it is, there's a good chance they drive down the Interstate in the left-most lane doing 45 MPH with their left turn blinker on.
  7. I love all the various things floating about in the water. Awesum.
  8. I showed it to mine and told him that's what happens to bad cats. While he appreciated the art, he didn't seem all that frightened about my comments. Lovin' all of these so far...it would be cool if you could get them all together in a group shot.
  9. Oh that's very cool! Good thing I'm still working on my Arkham House set
  10. I have been told that I am much better looking than he is. at least you have a sense of humor. Interesting discussion here. No idea where it'll end up, but interesting all the same.
  11. It can be arranged. I think I am fairly humble to be honest. I just try and have a good life for my family and myself. I havent had any violent outbursts in about 5 years (give or take) But if someone feels that I need an azz whooping, feel free. But I'm really kind of tired right now, so someone else will have to step up to the plate. Getting ready to take a nap and stuff.
  12. After reading it several times, I'm pretty sure the thread got pulled because the guy hates goats. Maybe Arch has a goat?
  13. Actually, the CATS will be easy. 1. Draw a cat 2. Photocopy the cat 100 times 3. Drop off the art board and 101 cat photocopies at a preschool 4. Tell the kids to cut out the cats and paste them onto the board in creative locations 5. Go home and work on the next cover in the list 6. Pick up the art board from the preschool 8 hours later 7. BOOM! Two commissions done in one day. You can thank me later, Matthew. I'm here to help.
  14. Went to Rhode Island for a week on vacation and picked up the following at a couple different antique stores and a used book store for a little over a hundred clams (most of that on the Weird Fantasy 14, which I'm very happy with). I actually could have picked up quite a bit more, but was limited to what I could take home with me.
  15. Wow, that Terrors is killer! I can't wait for my next one, but seeing these others is almost as fun
  16. This thread has a bunch o' potential! I do have an old newspaper article somewhere about my collection back in high school (1985 or so). I'll see if I can dig it up and find it. I don't think I've got any other pictures from back in the day though Definitely looking forward to whatever everyone else comes up with tho!
  17. Good books at great prices and secure packaging....now sell me more stuff!
  18. Got my Black Cat Mysteries 50 cover re-creation yesterday and it has launched over some great stuff to take a spot as one of the coolest things in my collection. Can't wait to get it framed! Thanks Matt!
  19. I just got the BC50 (above) in the mail yesterday....let me say that a scan doesn't do it any justice at all. I mean, it looks great in the scan, but in person? Freaking awesome. Thanks Matthew!
  20. Wow, what is this thread doing on page 3?! I have a new book to add, not much compared to most of the selections that you guys have, but I guess it'll have to do to get this back on the front page Presented here is my first raggedy-azzed Doc Savage pulp, Devil on the Moon. I've been a fan since my Dad introduced me 36 years ago when he gave me the 6 Golden Press hardbacks for Christmas). I then moved on to the Bantam releases, finally completing the run of singles a few years ago with the acquisition of #50 Devil on the Moon. I thought it would be fun to pick up the original pulp version of this story as my first Doc pulp. Now I've only got 180 to go! Anyone else here collect Doc?
  21. I picked up a Silver Age collection a couple weeks ago that has a bunch of stuff in it that I don't collect (and frankly, don't know much about) so I'll be offering the remainders here, heavily discounted as usual. Consists of about 75 romance comics (DC and Charlton), around 100 Archie titles (Archie, Jughead, Archie's Gals, Pureheart the Powerful, Captain Hero, etc.) and a few oddballs like Gidget, Mod Squad, Charlton racing and war titles and other weird krap. Not sure if anyone here collects any of this stuff, but we'll give it a go anyhow. Will start listing sometime this week, maybe today or tomorrow.
  22. Great books, quick shipping and solid packing...thanks man!
