  1. I got a nice early Christmas gift in the post today. A killer "Robot" cover.
  2. Truly awesome covers. Amazing colors. Thanks for sharing these.
  3. There does seem to be more #1's around - I guess "boys" bought it and saved it as well just cause it's a #1. Thanks for the wisdom!
  4. Weird - the EXACT same thing happened to me with the time-differential. I tried to sign back on to up my bid (although you would have beat me with $1500) and the bidding was closed even though it said I had 3 hours just before I tried. I thought it was just me. I wrote them and got some explanation that the time was approximate and that it went faster than they expected and the lot came up for auction sooner Is the #6 much scarcer (and valuable) than 7-10?
  5. Interesting. It does seem to play out as you say. The only the high grade WW's I ever won were when I ignored what the guide said and bid the max I was willing to pay and keep my fingers crossed. Did this with the #6 I bid $900 on thinking I was overbidding. Unfortunately I lost that one. And what you say about the difference in pricing between CGC and raw, I interpreted this as being related to the risk of buying a book with an over-stated grade vs the security (real or imagined) of buying a certified book. Although it doesn't seem logical when you think about it, that a price guide should build in a price differential on this basis. The onus is on the buyer to look at what you’re buying and live (or die) by it. Sometimes you miss a defect and that effects the grade negatively. I learned this with the #3 I bought as a F/VF that got a 4.0 from CGC. But with "real" prices being whatever someone is willing to pay, maybe I really didn't pay too much for it
  6. I am so jealous... they all look swa-eat! BTW, I noticed the value of CGC WW's 6.0 (F) and above on comicspriceguide.com have jumped fairly significantly. I'm not as connected to the investment scene as some of you may be, so I don't know if this trend is apparent in other price guides. Maybe WW is finally getting some recognition as being undervalued.
  7. Nice haul Ronaldo. I'm waiting for a few WW's to come back from (Matt Nelson and) CGC. Time permitting (over the holidays) I'll post em. check out the new avatar! Happy Holidays to all! Bob-a-loo
  8. whew...luckily, i have all the ones up on ebay, but yes, sensations are every bit as desirable as WW (at least to me) rick The covers are pretty spetacular. I guess Sensation is what Action was to Superman.
  9. Wow, Rick, those Sensation covers are sure pretty. I'm think I'm getting the bug to start a set of them. There's a lot of nice ones up on ebay today... hmmmmm
  10. I agree with Jack on this one, I prefer the Peter WW to Novick's, which to me looks too much like a stylized glamour girl on the cover of a romance comic book. Not that it matters to anyone, but I do like where this new rendition is headed, with a more muscular "amazon-like" Wonder Woman. She looks like she can really kick butt...
  11. Got a snap-shot of the dude grabbin' up all the WW's off ebay. Doesn't he look familiar?
  12. Sounds like a great deal. ( ) In fact you can have any WW I have if you have another tek #27 to trade! I would make that sacrifice for you Rick.
  13. It must be rare if you don't have it Rick. I looked up the cover of #63 and can honestly say I don't recall seeing one for sale in the past year.
  14. Nice! Like I said, Renaldo, they are just falling like pins. You got good friends in Rick and Sharon. I think the story from #78 was reprinted in a silver age "Strange Sports" story? I get a little deja-vue from the cover like I've seen it somewhere else. It's a great cover. -a-loo
  15. I totally agree - a much more "realistic" portrayal of Wonder Woman (In the New Frontier saga) and she is mortally wounded, bleeding to death in the cockpit of the invisible plane which she crashes into power lines. It's a pretty amazing sequence.
  16. And a few more... Strutting her stuff Carousing with Supernan Now that is an amazon! Is this a preview of what the movie version of Wonder Woman will look like?
  17. Check out this rendition of Wonder Woman from the DC New Frontier series. Very cool!
  18. Nice ones Renaldo. Your WTB's are falling like pins.
  19. I recently picked up these babies. WONDER WOMAN #23 and #25 (which completes my run from 1-35) and an upgrade copy of #32 with a rocket-ship cover. Bob
  20. Renaldo, Let me know if you need me to email you a copy of this scan (I think you can click-drag it right form this screen, but...). Also I have scans of all the recent books I parted with some of which went to you sir. Let me know If you want copies of those as well. Bob
  21. Hey Renaldo, I think this is the scan U seek. I had it hanging around from when I sent it to Rick. The guy with the #7 said he'd send me a decent scan but it never materialized so I passed. Good luck to the winner. Bob and thanks for the kudos!
