  1. Ah yes, the Socratic Wonder, A good man, and oh-soooo deserving.
  2. I saw that #31 as well, thought about adding it to my WW crippens but at many-times guide for an unslabbed copy, I dunno. I guess someone really wanted it. Hey Rick, I guess you don't need the G/VG #3 you got from me anymore. That was a nice catch (thumbs u . I thought it'd go a lot higher. Love work-day auctions when less peeps seem to be watching ebay. Lucky me I don't really have to do much work at work. Just got a decent #33 in VG+ from Heritage for a song. The same day (a few hours earlier) a lesser condition one sold on ebay for more. Again, I think I was just lucky people weren't watching. But alas, I have nowhere near what you folks have... you know who you are.
  3. Thank you Jack (selegue) for sending the info regarding George Tuska's artwork on Weird Comics #1. I'm sure George will be happy.
  4. Oh now, that is a beautiful #30 - just look at that red field behind WW Glad they went to such a good home Renaldo. -a-ioo
  5. that's a great cover on #46 and a 8.5 to boot. Nice.
  6. Can anyone confirm that George Tuska did the cover of Weird Comics 1 not Lou Fine? A fellow collector had George do a recreation of this cover and there was some question as to whether he (Tuska) did the original comic.
  7. So now I hear that Jessica Biel has declined the role of Wonder Woman in the new JLA movie. Anyone hear this? Now who will they approach with the role?
  8. I never turn down a hug (from a gal anyway) - even an electronic hug!
  9. You're only allowed to screw up one superhero per career/lifetime. Alba is very nice indeed, but Sue Storm she is not.
  10. What's even more amazing is that this was a series of 4 books, each with some form of world-destruction depicted on the cover. I guess they were trying to tell us something?
  11. It looks like gator had the right one - Jennifer Biel is said to be up for the part of Wonder Woman in the new JLA movie (which was moved ahead of WW on the production schedule). And nice WWs' there Renaldo, although I think you need a #32 to make the spree complete. ;-) -aloo
  12. Youser - that damsel (on Wings #91) her dress looks spray-painted on! This cover gives even PL #17 a run.
  13. Indeed you did - just dropped it into the post!
  14. Probably not news to anyone here, but worth mentioning just the same that I saw one (Detective Comics #29 Fine+) on Vintage Comics' web site for sale, but it is 6.5 apparent (restored). Someone buy it so I can live vicariously...
  15. a bittersweeet beauty - the book looks stunning, I thought a F/VF (I can dream can't I) it came back from CGC only a 4.0 (WHITE pages!) - my jaw dropped when I saw the grade. I missed the tiny rat chew back cover top center (some pages under are involved). chalk it up to my inexperience perhaps. oh well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say... so behold.
  16. FYI - a sharp looking Sensation on ebay, with one caviat... http://cgi.ebay.com/SENSATION-82-WONDER-WOMAN-DC-Golden-Age_W0QQitemZ250165543220QQihZ015QQcategoryZ155266QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting i.e.. a hole torn in the back cover. Worth restoring? btw, I ain't bidding on it.
  17. Nice covers! That #15 sure is a tough one to find.
