I don't understand why you don't get that i'm not asking to rush just what I paid for fast turnaround. Why am I wrong expecting to get what I paid for? -

Logistically, how exactly would this be accomplished ? Even if they collected the books and grouped them by tiers, all integrity would be lost upon handing them off to the shipper. Asking CGC to sort 12,000 books by tiers seems like a monumental task when they are trying to go home. Seriously, putting Expresses into one box, Standards into another, Economy, so-on-so-forth is too difficult? You're kidding right Then CGC shouldn't offer anything but Standard tier at the cons. Don't take my money if you don't intend to deliver CGC. Once I hand my books over, I assume they are in CGC's possession. It shouldn't take another 8 days for them to show up in their "system". Sorry, but this is a CGC lack of planning and management. The drones at CGC who are busting their arses (their words) to open and put all 12,000 orders into the tracking system are not to blame - it's CGC's business and their responsibility to create a system that honors their agreement to deliver on a given time-frame. If I pay for 5 days turnaround, I shouldn't then need to worry how CGC accomplishes this once I hand it over to them - that's their problem. Gods-honest truth, last time I EVER submit a book to CGC at a con Awesome. Also last thread like this? I hope so - if CGC doesn't give me a reason to complain to them on their message boards. This is what this place is for right? No one forced you to read and respond. If you're bothered by my rant don't read it, -

Ok, I agree - but it wasn't available at NYCC. I've previously had good experiences with submitting books to CGC at comic com, however none of those were Express submissions, directly anyway - one went to Matt for pressing and then to GCG Express, so that's not the same deal either. So yes, pick my poison indeed - I should have sent it in by mail a week ahead of comic con when I initially decided to have it graded, it would have probably been back in my hands graded by now. Now I have no idea when I'll see my book since someone posted that they might not finish until late next week. That really -

Two of my invoices that were dropped off last weekend are already in the system as of yesterday. Thank you for bringing this back to the topic. I may have hurt my cause by even airing my grievances here on the CGC message boards, but I've talked to customer service twice and they sound like they're having a tough time with the volume. It's not their fault that there wasn't a system in place. Management should have anticipated this and got on front of it. I told the CSR that, but they can't really do anything. So I came here and -

I watched most of the first season of Arrow on Netflix. It was terrible. I hear it gets better but I haven't had the heart to try again yet. Last season it was on fire! You really ought to try it and see. (thumbs u -

part of me wants to give up ala SHIELD, but this showed more promise in one episode than SHIELD did, but I grew up loving Flash, so I'm in for at least half a season. Good - I hope we're all surprised by how good it gets (thumbs u -

Give it a chance, it's only the 2nd episode. Arrow didn't come galloping right out of the gate either. Don't give up yet. Hopefully your namesake makes an appearance as well -

Let me also add that I bellyache and moan about CGC, but I am a supporter of them and what they do - but stuff like this to me is indefensible and It speaks to me of a larger issue, that they appear to be very tone deaf to the average joe's issues. -

12,000 submissions at NYCC. My question is why does the tiers only matter after they unpack it and open a ticket - if you take in submissions they should be sorted by tier and opened in the order of time in and service tier. No? -

When you drop your books off at a show, they still have to be mailed back to CGC HQ before they can begin the grading process - if you dropped them at NYCC over the weekend, they probably arrived in Florida yesterday. And considering that more than 100 boxes of books were shipped back, it doesn't seem too unreasonable that it'll take a couple of days to process them  I guess my mistake was to assume that CGC had a system that allows them to identify and prioritize express submissions over the standard and other tiers when they arrive at CGC (the rep I spoke to said they are just opening them up now). I also assumed they had a way to transport these submissions back to CGC quickly, as opposed to using the same method a submitter uses, i.e., mailing it. When CGC offer$ a premium $ervice they should make every effort to deliver on it. Lesson learned. on the other hand...you got an expensive book and you're about to pay a lot of $$$ to get it graded, maybe ask some more questions before making assumptions and handing over premium $$$. I'm just playing devil's advocate, I pretty much agree with you, I think they'd have a better, faster system in place. I've handed submissions to CGC at NYCC just about every year I've gone the last few, and they usually show up on the tracking within a few days - like Tuesday after the weekend of the con. This was exceptionally long wait, and that's why I called them today. As far as asking questions, and not making assumptions, I would bet money they would not have told me at the con that an express submission would take a week to get to CGC and when it did not get any special attention. That's not true. If you had asked, they would have told you the exact same thing I said above - unless it's a high-value walkthrough, books CGC receive at shows are always shipped back. I wasn't debating that they wouldn't tell me how, I was saying they likely wouldn't tell me they were going to be missing in limbo for 7 days. It never happened before, why should it happen now? Anyway, justified or not, I'm disappointed. I'm confused. Where is the 7 days. NYCC ended 5 days ago. Dropped off 1st thing on Thursday (thumbs u -

Now 8 days since my Express submission was dropped off at NYCC, and no sign on tracking.
