  1. Funny story on #10. I won it in an eBay auction some years ago. There was another boardie who collected Nedors (he hasn't posted here in years) but much unbeknownst to me he was also bidding. After the auction. I get a PM from him, asking if I bid and won the book which I answered affirmatively, thinking he was going to tell me congrats. Instead he berated me for bidding and jacking up the price where he had to drop out and wasn't able to win the book. I still liked him and actually had bought a few books from him.
  2. And just for Tim @thunsicker my only camp coded Okajima - I have a handful of other Okajimas but having a camp coded on a Schomburg was cover and a pretty sweet cover image is special to me. It is hard to make out the camp coding because of my crappy pics but it is there.
  3. #2 has a really great, different cover - you get GGA bondage, a tiger, action with a thug in a suit and mad-turban wearing, sword wielding baddies and #3 once again proves that having a sidekick means the hero spends at least their time saving the little imp - ask Bats, Human Torch, Cap, etc.
  4. Black Terror up next up. There was an auction some years ago - not one of the big ones and I can't even remember how I discovered it. But I do remember bidding via a phone agent and I was having dinner with then-wife and child at a mexican restaurant placing bids. I know that is how I won the #1 and could have been a few others from other titles. There were lots of Nedor titles in the auction. Come to think of it, bidding on comics while having dinner with my family could be why I am divorced now
  5. Thank you. Well actually the parent publisher is Pines Publishing (Ned Pines) with a comics imprint of Standard Comics and they published under Standard, Nedor, and Better. That is why some of these books have different publisher imprints on CGC label. I have always called them collectively Nedor - just because I like that word At least the above is the way I understand it.
  6. That's it for America's Best. It was the first series I completed. Thanks again for the nice comments and reaction and PMs. Such a great group of people here. No wonder I rarely stray out of the GA forum. If I can, I will start posting the Black Terrors later tonight.
  7. Other than poorer PQ, this is a bright, glossy cover with a great, kind of forgotten bondage cover. Hidden among some of the more tame covers in the series.
  8. Thanks Corey. I remember you posting that a parade thread would be nice when I closed out the collection earlier this year. Hope all is well, my friend. Oh and I still envy your awesome collection of great books
  9. It is surprising, Dan. Many that you think may be hard turned up or I happen to be in the right online place at the right time. Lots of them I scored here. There are a few Gerber no-shows that I found early on but there were many that seemed tough to snag that really aren't that sought after. When I started, I was my much younger, married, and a new dad to my only child. Now I am much older, divorced, and my daughter will be a college senior.
  10. Going to stop here for tonight and will pick up to end this run and hopefully start to share the Black Terrors. Thanks the comments and reactions and allowing me to post.
