I really wish sellers would put major defects like being incomplete in the title listing. On this one, there is certainly enough characters left for the seller to do so. I still always read the description and on a raw GA book, I even ask the seller to count the pages for me. I am not necessarily accusing the (a) seller of deliberately trying to pass one over but it does make one think and give that appearance. Strange too with this seller since on the Phantom Lady 22, it shows in the title as front cover only. Why not say on Jo Jo incomplete.

Love looking at these and nice Swampies. One of my favorite runs from the 70s. Actually #7 is in my top tier all-time BA books. I remember reading it in the 70s and not only Wrightson's art blew me away but the stories were so good. I mean c'mon, #7 has the art, story, ST, Bats, and a little puppy. What more could you want.

FRESH TO MARKET GGA BAKER BA KEYS
telerites replied to Bunky Brian's topic in Golden/Silver/Bronze Age Only
Better etiquette and keeps your offer private if you send Bunky a PM (private message) plus any ensuing negotiation can take place via the message thread. Good luck. -
I hope there wasn't a bar of didn't go missing in the end....

Aunt Fritzi gets overlooked too often in the realm of GGA. That is a stunner She went strapless on that two-piece - very progressive.

What did he drop in his coffee? You should have asked for a few grams.

Craig, I doubt if these will do but here is a scan of my copy raw and slabbed. They are scans I had on photobucket and the res is probably not good for you. I can try to find the slab and rescan at a higher resolution but I have a lot slabs in no good order and am currently going through them all so I am not sure which box it is in. But here is what I have. I can email to you if that would help. You may not want it regardless since it has writing at the top of the cover although relatively unobtrusive. I suppose someone could photoshop the written portion if need be.

I like Cameron's art but this just isn't one of my favorite covers. I think because it reminds me of my ex-wife

Well thanks a lot, folks. You make it very hard for me to run a legitimate scam. And I was going to list the pay copy of Marvel Comics #1 next. Trying to raise money for a cruise and you go rain on my parade.

Yeah, I agree. Not to take anything away from Cameron but that cover doesn't do much for me.

Thanks! Nope. Could it be a Detroit Trolley is it? Not considered a pedigree by CGC but I thought there were Centaurs in the collection. It is sure pretty. -

I think the New Hampshire markings are pretty cool. They are so neatly written. I've posted the ones I have before but as an example here is one of them. -
Lifespan of a GA Comic in a new CGC Holder
telerites replied to Wayne-Tec's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
Yes, they do. IIRC, newshane soaked one in a bathtub. It was water resistant to a certain degree but not waterproof which is to be expected since the slab is designed to breathe. But I would obviously prefer to have a slabbed book ride through a flood as opposed to a raw. Apologies for taking the thread off track. -

If I remember you did research on the waterproofness of a slab. Alas, they aren't - I enjoyed the pics and commentary of that thread -
Great book, Rick. Captain Wings has to be very precise in that strafing run. Those baddies are pretty close to the soon-to-be-toasty damsel.

I believe this is correct, less stress on the spine. The thought is storing vertically may lead to spine tics. I store a few of my books this way but most are stored in the traditional upright position. I store some of my slabs like this in their box and they seem to be fine. I have nearly 3,000 slabs with limited space, I have slabs upright in their box, laying flat, one slab on top of the other, and like the above. @N e r V that is a purty book -
Overstreet's baby steps toward reality

So true. Even though GPA reflects CGC sales and from certain sites, it offers better insight (for at least recorded recent sales and sometimes those further back). -

I have been waiting for Sir Evans to show off (I mean up) -
They do have a link to GPA data for the book you're looking at but you can't breakdown the GPA data as far as serial number. Here is what it looks like (if you can see through the blurriness on the lot listings and the GPA data page after you press GO.

Lifespan of a GA Comic in a new CGC Holder
telerites replied to Wayne-Tec's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
Sorry, no. I'm not good at researching, too lazy. I think the new Boards are more difficult to find old threads. Maybe someone else here has a link ? Nobody had any hard science, just opinions. Nobody argued with the fact that environment plays a role whether in a slab or raw. Maybe one of the ones below? -
I see what you did there
