  1. Crime Busting Private Eye to Crime Reporter
  2. MM, always great to see your OO collection. Gotta love Cap on a motorcycle cover.
  3. Yeah I found out about pasting the link and clicking enter by chance and does save a step or two. And yes if a seller just posts a link, I agree why wouldn't they save the buyer some time and just show the image.
  4. I always post images by using the insert image from URL. I don't have my files saved on my PC so just much easier to use that option. There are two options to inset media that I know of for the new boards - insert from an existing attachment which you have uploaded here or the one to insert media from URL. Granted, I don't have any sales threads nor have I in years but the posting images from a location that I have already uploaded and saved them to is just much easier for me.
  5. I found this information on an auction listing and 1000 appears to be accurate. This listing was for 921/1000. First Edition; 1989. One of 1000 numbered copies signed by Bob Kane with an original ink drawing of Batman by Kane. The autobiography of the artist who created the immortal comic book character Batman in 1939Limited first edition copy of ''Batman & Me'' signed by Batman creator Bob Kane. Published by Eclipse Books: Forestville, California: 1989. Copy number 921 of 1000 of Kane's autobiography is signed on a special limitation bookplate, ''Bob Kane''. An original Batman sketch, also signed by Kane, is affixed along its top edge to the flyleaf. The 155pp. book, with a preface by fellow comic artist Milton Caniff, tells the whole Batman story, from the beginnings of the first cartoon in 1939 to Batmania and Batman the movie. Almost every page is illustrated; complete full color Batman comic strips fill the center pages. 8.75'' x 11.25'' book with blue cloth boards is housed in matching slipcase featuring a gilt Bob Kane autograph and Bat-Signal. mint conditionBob Kane Batman Sketch Original Art in Batman and Me Signed, Limited Edition Hardcover: Book 921/1000 (Eclipse Books, 1989). Bob Kane's beautifully rendered 7.5" x 10" black marker sketch of the Caped Crusader has been drawn and tipped into the frontispiece page of this handsome book. This piece is the perfect drawing for Kane's 1989, slipcased autobiography, Batman and Me, which was autographed and numbered, #393/1000 on a tipped-in flyleaf color plate. The book, sketch, and numbered plate are all in Excellent condition.
  6. I am not sure it is insanity. Cap 1 is a great grail and had been trending for quite a while. It is the one book, I will never have and always want, no matter the condition, even a coverless copy would be great. It may be a surprising result at hammer but the bidding is fierce on JB's collection and Cap decking Schicklegruber on the jaw cover - kind of puts the entire GA in a nice little package, trimmed or not.
  7. Erle Stanley Gardner story to Gardner Fox story
  8. Having never read any of the books or comic strips from the 1890s, would the Brownies count since they were fairies? Did they exhibit any spritelike powers?
  9. Woman in Black to a legendary comic creator dressed as the Black Rider
  10. Nice book, Kev. Such a great cover. A zeppelin cover but definitely not a Hidenburg of a comic.
  11. After trying several superheroes, Heroic changed its focus to war and the Seven Soldiers went under wraps for funny animals.
  12. Not that I intended to bid but that's some good research. Thanks
  13. To a tribal mask that looks oddly enough like Schicklegruber
  14. Classic - thanks Paul, I needed a chuckle. It reminds of a bird hunting trip we went on. It was like a three hour drive to the land we were hunting on and one of our bird dogs had the worst gas I had ever smelled. We carried our dogs in their kennel cages in the van and you want to talk about an odorific van...
  15. From a Valerie not a reprint to Sandra (Phantom Lady) reprint
  16. My tendency is go for more books as I am a completionist and work toward upgrades later. There would be considerations though like brittle pages, trimming, some other restoration. And by the way, I am a sir but I think there are some pretty great females on the boards and some that frequent the GA forum. I am an ERA supporter as you can probably tell.
  17. You are correct. I had the Search Seller Feedback Tab open.
  18. Fight Against Crime #20 on Ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/222524299894?ul_noapp=true This has all the bells and whistles of a scam/highjacked account but wanted to get thoughts. The description title is odd and wouldn't be a way a comic nerd would list it. Only item for sale. Account has no feedback as a seller. Ebay lister's ID was changed on March 31, 2017. The actual description seems fairly good. Free shipping is an added enticement for a scammer since they don't have the book and won't be sending anything. Thoughts?
  19. He is a very nice seller and has some great esoteric GA books often for auction. I have won some of his auctions and actually sent him a message on EBay earlier this morning just to to say WOW.
