RICK STARR
At a 6.5, this is the highest graded copy on the CGC census. Only two books graded!? There are 24 number ones'. Issues 2 and 6 are very tough in any grade. Cool cover with no word balloons.
Stevenrams
Great books, Rick. MGA is one of my favorite DC titles. I've never even seen a #2 before.
Stevenrams
From February 1956 with a great Ruben Moreira cover comes HOM 47:
Stevenrams
From January 1951 comes Strange Adventures 4. The 2nd story in the book is drawn by the great Carmine Infantino. Except for a small missing piece on the right side of the cover, it's in great shape. Wonder how CGC would grade the book? You don't see this book on the boards or at shows very often. (Sorry about that white glare.)
Stevenrams
Here's a book that just may be worthy of the great Rick Starr's collection of DC Sci-Fi: After all, it is the highest-graded copy the last time I looked.

Stevenrams
Agreed. Rick has the finest DC Science Fiction titles collection. Here's a book that one doesn't see very often. It's not ultra HG but it's a decent-looking copy: It's MIS 23 from Dec-Jan. 1954-1955 a very tough era in which to find decent copies of DC Science Fiction books. adamstrange
It's not hard to see how Starr was able to make the switch to a very successful career with the newspaper syndicated strips.
RICK STARR
Incredible books. You just do not realize how difficult it is to find these issues in top grade, until you try to collect them.
