No photo on the actual newsstand, but this copy of Tec 31 received two full date stamps in the white border of the logo - 85 years ago today - AUG 7, 1939 - at a Rexall Drug Store in Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦

You can make out the drug store stamp underneath the castle. Here are some Rexall Drug store photos (don’t know the exact time periods), which make it fun imagining this book first being released and sold. And, remember, the OCT copies of Marvel Comics 1 would be released a few weeks later on AUG 31, 1939 @jpepx78 @BitterOldMan

It’s possible that the Tec 31 could still be available somewhere in this Medford Oregon newsstand from August 1939.

Gary’s shop was always on my agenda when as a young kid, I visited my relatives in the Bay Area.

A very passionate collector and a bit of a mentor as well. I always left his store with a nice pile of PCH and ECs which were in abundance in his store. He often “let me slide” if I was a little short of cash. Best shop in the area back then.

Can you even imagine a store with stock like that now?
