Any info on the location of these?  Is it the same shop?  Almost looks like the Kramer looking haircut proprietor in both pics.

The shop location in the black & white photo was located in Harlem New York and the newsstand in the color photo was in Manhattan New York.

I love New York City newsstands.

So do I! I wonder if any are still hanging in there?

Both incredible.

LOVE Homer page, he really liked newsstands and racks as a street photographer. I've got a couple of loose pages scanned out of one of my Coronets which I likely hunted down just for his work (probably February 1942, sorry totally loose images).

I love New York City newsstands. This might have been posted before but it is worth seeing again.

Photo of a newsstand at the El & 86th station in NYC in 1949 by Homer Page.

Henry’s Coffee Shop on the corner of Richards and West Pender in Vancouver in the summer of 1944.

At one stage I was thinking I'd put together a July 1944 newsstand display with magazines and comics with that war bond cover. The steep price rise of postage from the US put an end to that, but I have about a dozen, including the Mechanix Illustrated on the top shelf.
