I have a raw copy and I'll research which books are bound in it and report back. Coincidentally I also got my copy from MCS. Who would've thought MCS would be the top auction house for acquiring this ultra rare Baker! Funnybooks

Yorick
My guess is that it's another Chiriacka. Baker appears to have swiped at least a few of his images. Chiriacka is also first generation American from Greek parents - so might explain why his work is on a Greek magazine. While I haven't chanced upon that particular issue, I've seen various issues come across my ebay emails in my searches for old magazines, and I'm not even looking for them Sure, it may be hard to find, especially for a non-Greek, but give me a f'n break. Darwination
Found 20 or 30 issues on German eBay from that exact era, a little sample. Beautiful covers. I swear people like to take advantage of Baker fiends. Chiriacka deserves all the love he gets, as he had a long career in the pulps and magazines. David Saunders has a nice article in Illustration #8 from 2003 on him (and iirc he was an uncle figure as a friend of his dads). Saunders' entry on Chiriacka at his pulp wiki For the 2,500!!! dollars that seller is asking for that magazine you could have bought an an excellent original Chiriacka recently the pb cover from my Flickr feed A handful of other Chiriackas in a young gallery I have there: https://www.flickr.com/photos/197841258@N07/albums/72177720316721813 I mean, I admit I get some weird schadenfreude from watching Baker nuts separated from their cash in instances of questionable attribution, but c'mon, now, that's just rookery Edited July 17 by Darwination Yorick, PeterPark and Point Five 2

Only the second comic inside is variable and both share the same first and last. What's inside your copy?
