Popular Post Robot Man
I got another slab in the mail yesterday. A pre code horror book. I have thousands of books but only about 20 slabbed ones. It’s always such a hollow experience. Look at one side then the other and that’s it. Unless what you collect is big numbers in the upper left hand corner, you are missing the whole experience. I have a lower grade reading copy but I am still tempted to crack it anyway. I just get no joy with the slabbed one... Mercury Man, Get Marwood & I, Harry Lime and 5 others 6

deadleg
@lizards2 Out of curiosity, what do you do with the CGC labels after you crack the slabs?

I slip them in behind the M2 and the Fullback of the book - on the back side, and shove them to the bottom of the M2 with a thinner backing board. I shove them to the bottom to kind of equalize the thickness caused by the flap of the M2 at the top. deadleg
Senormac
But do you notify CGC so each one can be taken out of the census ?

Four of today's were the new slabs. Getting a little more proficient at it using the long, standard screwdriver method, but one of them was really terrible. The welds on the inner well were way too close to the book, and the inner well just shattered when I tried to separate the two sides. I've had good luck so far without shattering, but I've only opened a few of the newer cases. I've been using a 6 in 1 painters tool like this:
