What's your favorite quote from a comic?

Daredevil 191, IMHO the best story ever written, hands down.

"when at last, at long last, I've got you set squarely in my sights...and I smell your fear...and it is sweet to smell... when it comes to the one final, fatal act of ending you.....my gun has no bullets."

Daredevil to Bullseye. It seems to sum up every super hero totured by the desire to kill the bad guy, but not being capable.

also by that Miller guy in an earlier issue: Bullseye to Elektra:

"your good, real good.....but me I'm magic"

"It's clobberin time!"

and the sequence from kingdom come with Cpt Marvel. With the Bomb... The quotes' nothing special but in the scene it's 100 proof awesome

"shazam,shazam, shazam, shazam..."

And now something for anyone who read just about any flash comic with wally in starring in it.

"My name is Wally West and I'm the fastest man alive" :foryou:

"You're good, baby, I'll give you that... but me? I'm magic."

Classic :cloud9:

Agreed. And from the same issue - "You'll never hurt anyone...again."

Frank Miller is a quote machine, and Dark Knight Returns is just full of memorable lines.

Punisher Vol 3, issue 3

Punisher (to Daredevil) "If you don't shoot you've got a death on your conscience, a death you could have prevented. If you do shoot, you're a killer."

Daredevil, "What kind of a choice is that?"

Punisher, "The one I make every time I pull the trigger."

Always thought that summed up Frank pretty well.

Not a comic, but based on a character many know and love.

TRIBAL CHIEF: "Conan, what is best in life?"

CONAN: "To crush your enemies - see them driven before you - and to hear the lamentation of their women!"

"Mere loquaciousness does not vanquish an adversary."

Anyone recognize it? First time I read it I was 13 and it blew me away.

The Beast said it

I'm really paraphrasing here, but one of my most recent fav' lines has been in "Y The Last Man", something like this...

"No need to fret. Both Pawn and Queen end up in the same box."

It was along the lines of "I hate barking orders like that. Rest assured, when the game is over both Pawn and Queen end up in the same box."

Although from my least favorite character
