I dont know why my scanner cut off the edge of the back cover. There are no defects there...There is a small chip at the bottom of the back cover as can be seen in the scan.

The book is real nice and tight...

 

Please ignore the scanner artifacts...

Jeez Jeff, you got a scan up pretty quick congrats. FF50 is the book that hooked me on comics 30 years ago. Love the cover, love the story and love your copy. I hate to grade books on my laptop but gonna go 8.0/8.5

I was thinking around the same as you said..I am curious as to what other grades I will get.

 

What would you grade it without the chip?

8.5/9.0 The bottom left front wear hurts it. Love the book. It would rank in the top 5 SA Marvel covers along with FF 55, 72, 12 and 45.

so about .5 point for the chip then.

 

the book is almost perfect except for that wear in the lower left corner of the front cover and the small chip in the bottom of the back cover.

You guys sure are tough graders! This book looks better than some of the books I have gotten certified at 8.0 and 8.5. The small chip hurts it but at least it is on the back cover.
