Remember...

 

Saying things that are critical of other people is "bullying." Saying true things that people don't like is "bullying." Challenging someone's poor behavior is "bullying."

 

Thus watering down the meaning of the word "bullying", and making a mockery of people who are *actually* being bullied.

 

There aren't enough facepalms in the world to give to people who abuse the word "bullying."

 

I do wonder about meeting you. I don't think you have a chance of meeting my expectations.

Adonis, all you gotta do is sell stuff, get the money, ship quickly (like within a week even), and communicate when communicated with. It's not confusing, it's not personal, and it's 100% obvious common sense. It also feels good, it's fun, and it's rewarding in that you build a decent name for yourself in this community.

I just think it's funny that we've got a cop who is people over repeatedly, and a devious buyer who'll do anything to get the book he wants...and the words bullying and community come up in essentially the same sentence. To the head.

Absolutely. I thought your temper tantrum was ridiculous, and your pre-emptive threatening statements in the thread were even worse. It was never an issue that I would step aside, so that Andrew wouldn't have to face the fury of whatever threads you were, most likely, already drafting. But I did buy that book while you were still trying to beat him down on price, and only the fact that there was specific reference to a "time stamp" kept me from making an issue of it. Where was your sense of community when you knew you had haggled your way out of an underpriced book?

fwiw, A-Donis has been trying to keep his cool, apologize continuously, and not get into a heated back and forth, despite what looks like persistent aggressive posting towards him. Yes, I realize he has had a history of problems, and I don't have any means of judging his sincerity beyond what he says here. If I were involved in a transaction with him, though, I'd be willing to give him a shot based on his posts.

 

If all he needs to do is sell, ship quickly, and communicate, then give him the chance to do that. Not sure what the continued (week-long now?) castigation is meant to accomplish. I think he's gotten the message by now. Either he'll prove his words sincere, or not.
