Member branget ordered a book on Feb 4 2011 he did not pay. He then posted in a sketch opp Feb. 10 2011 for a sketch cover by Jonny Ledofrd, and now he has refused to pay for both his original order and the sketch cover. Both orders have been cancelled due to non-payment.

 

To be clear I was not demanding payment, he sent me a message telling me he I was charging fee's I did not advertise, whish is unture, and higher fee's than the submissions cost, again not true.

 

He then admitted that he is cancelling because I have posted too many opp's, just 2 as of now. I fail to see how sketch opp's affect his previous orders.

 

I have tried to resolve this but branget removed himself from the private message conversation.

 

According to your threads, you are charging $20 + "exact shipping" for the NOVO Vol. 1, and $50 (sketching cost) + $27 (CGC fees) + "exact shipping" for the Jonny Ledford sketch ... is that what you were going to charge Branget as well?

I post this cause he has stated he will not pay and to cancel the orders. He has ignored me so there will be no more correspondence... I really don't understand this. I would have happily put off the order or w.e. but that did not seem like a possibility. I wish it did not happen, but I will do my best to keep all relationships here as positive as possible.

I was charging exactly what I have in my threads I can post my Invoice to him here. I have a pile of delivery conformations from selling book here the last few weeks. I can not plead my case to many at this point. All I can say is people will be happy with my work. I have worked non-stop to get things going here over the past two weeks.

30 days is the rule here. Once 30 days have transpired, plead your case.

It's been said before but...if the buyer (or seller I guess) has stated that they refuse to go through with the transaction, maybe it don't need to wait the full 30 days. That said, it's only been a week or so here. Maybe give the guy a little more time to sort himself out? If he removed himself for the PM convo, start a new one. See what happens.

You're correct about the 30 day rule, but this thread (the probation discussion thread) is also meant for people to bring up issues prior to this deadline ... the hope is that if issues are brought out into the open before 30 days have passed, the boardie who's headed for the Probation list could possibly avoid this by making things right before his/her time is up :thumbsup:

Just a few corrections here. The order was not cancelled for non-payment. I stated my intention to cancel the orders and he cancelled them. At no time was a payment refused. He cancelled the orders. I removed myself from the PM in order to save both of us from escalating the conversation. I assume he wanted me to outright admit that I have doubts as to whether the sketch opportunity would be filled.

 

This was in a PM. It was not in a public forum so as not to embarass or cast doubt to other buyers. I don't see what is to be gained by bringing it here. The seller is not out any $. I stated I wanted to cancel and he cancelled it. I can certainly discuss my doubts here and have a debate as to whether I should have the option to cancel my order or be pressured to risk my cash with no recourse to getting my money back if this turns out bad.

You told me you were cancelling. And you did express you opinion in my thread... see my quote from you about swindling. You chose to agree to purchase the books, no one told you to 'risk' your money and... in fact the NOVO book has nothing to do with my sketch opps.

The other listed fees prompted my cancelling. I usually do not pay any of those. I am cancelling both.

Ok . I am more then aware of fees for this typ of opportunity. I just don't pay them.

I deal direct usually. Since you want to push there is also the # of opps you now have with being so new.

I stated my intention to cancel as I stated above. It was in a PM open for discussion. You cancelled my orders. Discussion should have been over. You then wanted to press about why. I was trying to simply let it go.

I would not have cancelled the order if I thought it was up for discussion. People can read the text and decide. I will leave it to the admin to decide if your actions warrant you to be put on the probation list. I was not going to request this, I wanted to warn others about the transaction, but there is no denying what happened here.

Just admit what happened. I would have happily worked with you to arrange something man, I have cancelled orders before. I am not mad, I just thought that you were pushing the issue of me being untrustworthy. I am out of pocket but I will recoup that as the sketch opp proceedes so that is fine. I may have reacted harsher than normally but I have been assailed with the thought that I am untrustworthy when I am doing the best I can.

 

p.s. unblock me and we can speak via PM to completely resolve the issue
