Hedge Collector
Below is the list of the new additions. 1- 9.0 I beleive this the Detective27kid copy Was this copy to be held in his private collection, or is the buyer most likely to flip it? Sounds like a flipper (I really don't know) if he is willing to pay the premium for a raw 8.5 or 9.0. Rick probably has a better sense. one thing the GA crowd knows about me, that the SA crowd might not (well, except Nik, rest in peace, he knew) is that folks LOVE to buy my 8.0's and 8.5's raw.... I sold Nik several 8.0's and 8.5's and all came back 9.0 and 9.2 from cgc Rick, well done! Everyone's happy Indeed, seems like a nice sale! But why didn't you slab it yourself and put it in an auction? Do you feel like the HA 9.0 sale still might not beat your sale price?

If Rick was guaranteed a 9.0, Rick would have asked for a lot more. I think Rick was smart, not to take a chance if it came back as a 8.0 which he would have made only a little. Rick 2x+ is money...why take take a chance and he also made his customer very happy. Edited October 16, 2009 by showcase22gr1959
G.A.tor
The buyer wanted to buy it raw before I slabbed...the offer was sufficient for me...could I have gotten more? Maybe ...but the sale price was fine for me (thumbs u

tth2
Looking at your list, I think it is safe to put the 9.0 Clink copy as in the rock solid hands of a Private Collector. Yes, you could indicate it as the one sold on clink but also currently in the hands of a private collector. I don`t think it`ll be flipped. showcase22gr1959
I'm just very amazed and . With all the recent additionals Showcase 22 added to the CGC census yesterday, why aren't there any 5.5 and under for sale in the marketplace...at least those are the more affordable copy. Well, one of the 4.5s is my copy, but I believe that the label was submitted as well so it should mean there is one less 4.0 copy from the last census. If you did send your label for the 4.0...then it is correct that there are 31 copies of 4.0.

kimik
always nice to see SC 22's pop up Have you come across any new ones lately? Were there any copies at the New York show this weekend? I saw a small handful but certainly none in HG or even above 4.0 Did Metro have 6 copies (or was it 8) below 4.0 (the best was a 3.0) like they did in San Diego? They had a quick sell through at the SDCC, including the bathtub proof PR copy.
