Sorry all, but I just had to re-post this for awesomeness!

 

Between Barton, Shel, Master Chief, Vince, and Joey, there are some amazing copies of tough, tough comics showing up here. There's a special place in my heart for the picture frames, as they were the first comics I bought to read and save back at the beginning of 1972, starting a 40+ year obsession with funny books. Still have the Superhero and Conan picture frames that were bought back in the day.

 

And thanks to Master Chief for compiling the spreadsheet that is a terrific reference source.

This copy, from a forum member a while back, is the best I have right now, so if you got it, post it!!

I really regret not buying more Oaklands back in '98 or '99 from Vincent and Mike C if I remember correctly at the SDCC. They had some long boxes filled with them, and then some on the wall. The two romance books were actually on the back wall. I have all the labels except for the 2 romance books because they had been put in mylars without their printed labels. I think they probably had the same labels, but they removed them and raised their prices, hence the higher hand written stickers on them. A handwritten price of $75 was on the My Love issue. I just loved the cover and had never seen it before so I bought it.

 

Below is the label that came with the Special Marvel Edition 4. I cut the labels off of the original mylars and taped them to the new full-backs when I re-bagged the books.

Thanks Surfer :) I just started collecting again, so I only have about 25 CGC'd books. All of the other 2400 are in Mylite 2's, and Full Backs, and many with the microchamber paper between front and back covers. OCD is an expensive thing. ;)

Some sick looking books here. No Hulk 158? That is the hardest of the picture frames to find in high grade..

Hey Joe :). I don't have a copy in any grade of 158. :( A 9.4 just sold a few days ago on ebay for $70, but i wanted a 9.6 so passed. Damn, you could have probably pressed it up a grade. ;)

 

I need a better #148 also, have a couple 9.2's.

With no 9.8's and only 6 9.6 copies in the census I don't see them coming up for sale all that often.

The Millie was a wing and a prayer from eBay. It will serve as a placeholder in my PF box and a reminder that it's stupid to spend grading fees on wings and prayers.
