I recognize Campbell and Stevens

Are the others popular artists as well? Or?

Well, that Tales from the Creep #2 is a fairly tough book to find. Second of two issues in Antarctic Press's effort to launch an EC-inspired horror anthology. IMO the story quality is a little meh, but they're pretty low print runs, and EC-esque horror is popular.

I had a good haul yesterday sourced from ye old facebook. In addition to the below are a solid 2 longs of reader/beater typical mid-70's marvel, and a half a short box of midgrade late silver/early bronze marvel.

The GSX1 and WWBN32 are roughly VG-, IH181 has water damage and a missing MVS

I wish I was posting this in good spirits but earlier today (way earlier) out of dumb luck I called my neighbor. Earlier this week an ad had been posted walking distance from me. The seller never replied back to me but did to my neighbor who I called and mentioned he was meeting the seller of that collection. So I asked if I could come along with him. He picked me up and we drove 3 mins down to the local library. I had mentioned there was a New Mutants 98 in the ad (which is why I hoped the seller had contacted me lol). And he didn’t even see it was there! I paid $20 for the collection but since it was rightfully his he kept the books less the New Mutants 98 which we’re splitting the profits on after my pressing magic. The seller didn’t care for comics but did mention he had several “sentimental” SA he’s keeping like FF #4. After meeting he went directly on a walk with his wife to the park across the street. Goals. Here’s some quick highlights from the driveway

Nice grab....sorry if I missed this but why are you not in good spirits?  Does this sentence have anything to do with it, "After meeting he went directly on a walk with his wife to the park across the street."?   Did the seller die on his walk?     Every so often FineCollector will send me a text message where he's referencing several different persons with the same descriptive, 'guy', and his message is very confusing.   "Went to an antique store to meet a guy, another guy was there to meet his friend the guy's brother, the guy said he wasn't selling comics, but the guy then brought out comics to sell to the buyer".

I was supposed to get that lot. Seller took 2 days to respond then gave me a wrong google number. The person with the number told me I had the wrong number the next day and I replied to the original post and he sent his apologies but he had already set a new appointment. I could have insisted that I was first but let it go. I'm glad it went to a good home.

Yup me too. I’m on that site several times a day. That’s why we just met up with him yesterday even though it was posted earlier in the week. He just had a care free attitude and the comics weren’t important. So it could’ve went to anyone not necessarily the 1st guy who contact him. Sorry about that. I kind of gave up too since I didn’t hear back from him. Some of the comics are rough since they weren’t bagged and boarded but all the comics will be for sale. There was only GI Joe 44 and Marvel Age 34.

It was me who wasn’t in good spirits due to some personal stuff. That’s why I was up posting this at 3am. Lol. The seller was fine. There was 3 ‘guys’ in this story. I try my best to remove the parts that aren’t part of the story. But we’re all “guys” and “he” and “sellers” as well lol. So it can be hard to follow at times.

I responded about 20 minutes after the ad was posted. I just figured if I insisted the other person would probably say something about new mutants 98 out of spite then we all lose. So I let it go.

The New Mutants 1-100 shortbox I got earlier this spring had mentioned they had it. But this was 2.5-3 hours away one way so I’m sure not many ppl saw the ad or wanted to drive that far. I also shared this week’s ad to another dealer friend and he didn’t even see the NM 98 until I also told him. $25 is so darn cheap
