O my god, is that the elusive buttdumpling I've been hearing so much about?

:gossip: Go ask any random teenager, I'm sure they will know.

It's the opposite of (_E=mc2_)

Look Mcgwire, I have no idea where you're going with this.

Oh craap, yes I quoted the wrong thing.

I guess what I'm saying is maybe I think you paid 80% below guide so I figure if I offer 50% below guide you're still pulling 30%

But if I only wanted 50% for them wouldn't I have listed them for a lower price to begin with?

And frankly, what I paid for them shouldn't figure into what someone wants to offer.

If it does they are solely basing their offer on an assumption.

As I said, folks are free to offer whatever they want to.

But I'm stating it again, offering me less than half is grounds for ridicule.

Fair enough (thumbs u

And truthfully it's nobodys business what he paid for the collection. If people want the books buy the books if not then don't buy them. But worrying about how much profit somebody is going to make on a sale is really bad taste. Just my 2c

Oh and good luck with the sale.

true, but this seller started complaining about being offered 50% of guide, considering the grade of these books..not a bad offer. btw, I'm sure the seller didn't pay anywhere near 50% of guide.

Really, you know where I can pick up Marvel keys and early issues for 50% of FMV? Please, point me in the that direction.

As far as what the seller has into it....you're suggesting Richard didn't pay "anywhere near 50% of guide"? So, you're suggesting he paid what...25% to 30% of Guide? Let's just say, I think you're dead wrong and nowhere close to reality.

:devil: Hiyo!

Actually, he wasn't complaining, he was taunting. And he wasn't taunting for being offered 50% of guide, he was taunting for being offered 50% of his asking price.

My take on all of this BS is this;

Do you want the book as advertised...for the price being asked....???? hm

I think all the prices on the books in this thread are fair and as good or better than you would find from other dealers prices....look these same books up on Metropolis' web site for example.

I am GRATEFUL that these books are being offered HERE first.... He didn't HAVE to do that... (thumbs u

The grading looks very fair to me...another very important consideration.... (thumbs u

Does this dealer stand behind his product...we know Richard does...another important consideration... (thumbs u

If he makes money on these books..GOOD for him.... :applause:

Why didn't YOU make an offer for these books yourself....then YOU could make the profit you are person_without_enough_empathying about so much..... (shrug)

What do you care how much profit he makes anyway...(this reminds me of employees who will block another employee from getting a pay raise because THEY didn't get a pay raise). Anyone who does this is my opinion a !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (tsk)

The bottom line is ...if you want the book....say :takeit: If not pass on the book... :cool: the dealer has a lot of costs involved that you are not even considering...

As far as lowballing...I know some guys on these boards get offended if you don't take them up on their offers....would these same lowballers...take such offers on their own collections.....I doubt it!!!! Hippocrates... :makepoint:

So stop complaining..if you can't afford the price...MOVE ON!!!!!

'NUFF SAID!!!!

Opps!!! Yes... I meant Hypocite!!!!!! doh!

So then making an offer is no longer allowed because we are so privileged to have him list his books here? lol

You're just having fun and being difficult right? I trust you don't really think things like this.

Blind Owl's post;

That's what I was referring to.

If you ever sell a book, would you mind if I asked you how much you made in a year so I can tailor my offer based on your net worth? :baiting:meh

(Sorry for the derailment of your thread, Mr. Bedrock!)

This should be posted at the bottom of every post until he is back and starts posting books again. At least he won't have to look for his sales thread when he returns.....it will probably still be at the top of page one.
