Comic collecting goals for 2010

I want to fill in some holes my Ditko Spidey run in slabs:

 

AF 15 CGC 6.0 (won't happen next year unless I come into some $$$ unexpectedly)

ASM 1 CGC 6.0-6.5 (holding out for a deal on this one have to be diligent)

ASM 12 CGC 6.5

ASM 13 CGC 6.5

ASM 14 CGC 6.5

ASM 30 CGC 9.0

ASM 31 CGC 9.0

ASM 32 CGC 9.0

ASM 35 CGC 9.0

ASM 36 CGC 9.0

 

Nice to pick these up as well:

 

ASM 50 CGC 9.0

ASM 238 CGC 9.8

 

Continue to collect and restore coverless keys:

 

Coverless Hulk #3 & #4, #181 and some others that show up.

I want to read more. I have a bunch of great stuff lying around that I never get to. As far as buying I could try to finish my ASM run but that will probably take more than a year. As long as I keep filling holes in that run and paying off my #1 I think it will be a good year :)

In January 2009, I decided to go for the Four Color run and I have now over half of the books ... I guess that's some success there.

2009 was not a great collecting year for me. I started it trying to keep my marriage from collapsing (it did anyway), but I'm finishing it living in a smaller, cheaper house I love and dating a woman who appreciates comics (the ex didn't) and a lot of the same music I like. I consider myself a lot better off right now.

 

So 2010 goals are about the same as 2009:

 

Finish Sky Girl run in Jumbo Comics (about 14 more)

Work on the HG CGC run of Batman 263-300 (21 more)

 

Let's add:

 

Finish Jonah Hex run (about 6 or 7 more)

Make some serious progress on the Daredevil run, including #1 and #7 in CGC 8.0ish

Meet the GF's son and spend some quality time with him reading beater DC war comics (which he is now discovering and really loves)

My goals always get de-railed because I keep seeing other stuff i want. I hope I can pick up a nice D.D. # 7, Astonish # 27, F.F. # 4, and a # 17 in nice condition.

I am not into war comics, but that Fight Comics 24 is the most awesome cover I think I have ever seen--and I had been planning to spend what I should. doh!

Finish Flash 175-350 in 9.4+ (15 more to go)

Start building a Bronze key collection in 9.2/9.4 White

 

Iron Man 55

Spidey 101- :banana: 102

House of Secrets 92 (Already had and sold a 9.4)

Conan 1

Marvel Spotlight 2, 5

 

Buy some key Coppers/Moderns in 9.8

Sandman 1

Invincible 1

Walking Dead 1

Showcase Presents 26

 

I refuse to pay over GPA so it is sometimes harder to find some of these books for the right price. So, may not get to all of them. All money permitting, of course.

1. Finish my CGC 9.8 MIRACLEMAN run (including MM Family, MM Apocrypha)

2. Try to get as close to a complete CGC 9.8 Eagle Comics JUDGE DREDD run as possible.

3. Finally complete my CGC 9.8 Alan Moore Swamp Thing run.

4. Get a CGC 9.8 SANDMAN #1 for $150.00 :wishluck:

5. Send my entire collection of Raw Miracleman & Swamp Thing books to CGC.

6. Get a CGC 9.8 New Mutants #98.

7. Start a CGC 9.8 Valiant collection (Solar, X-O Man of War)
