who's greggy (shrug)

greggy is hiding his forbidden shame at Chicago C2E2 while Joeypost gives him the stink-eye and warns him not to get caught at the Canadian border with illicit porn that would offend the fragile sensibilities :o of Canucks while at the Basement Comics booth. Yet even might :sumo: greggy cannot control his id which subconsciously gives the Heidi mag "thumbs up." (tsk)

+1 Now I have never seen one but doesn't it just have harmless family pics in it + the Sheena outfit. I know it is one of the scarcer Warrens but probably not worth the coin it is offered for based on its "noteriety"

All I remember about that book is asking "why would anyone buy this drivel"?

Only met a small handful at C2E2, but they were a nice bunch. :)

You obviously didn't meet greggy, then

I was actually on the lookout for him as I know what he looks like from his pics, but I never spotted him. Unfortunately I recognized a ton of boardies from their C2E2 pictures..... after the convention ::sigh::

I'm thinking about driving up from OKC for one or two days of the con - mainly to go to the dealer's room but might go to some of the other things. Few questions if someone can help:

Are Thursday and Friday good days to attend or is the weekend better?

I'm assuming I can get tickets at the door?

I know this is in Rosemont but I'm guessing the traffic is similar to Chicago which ranks in my top three of worst places to drive?

I don't mind staying 30 minutes or so away if I can find a hotel that is less busy and offers free parking. Any recommendations that someone can PM me?

Thanks for any help :)

Jeff: There are many hotels in the area that have free parking...Super 8 and Courtyard Marriot for example. I'd go Thurs and Fri if I were you...less crowds and access to books before they have been picked over.

Once you get to Rosemont there are no traffic issues but depending on the time of day, Comiskey to Ohare is a freaking nightmare.

JJ,

we just hired a new teacher in my grade level. She said she is from NC. I asked her point blank, Duke or UNC. She ruined my day...

Gonna be a rough year for her...sigh...

You can also get cheap hotels on Priceline or Hotwire. We got the Hyatt next to the con center for $69 or so but if you drop your star rating, or are not picky about location (there are a zillion hotels within a 15 minute walking distance or a 5 minute shuttle ride) I'm sure you can find rooms even cheaper if those hotels that Jim recommended are sold out.

Wouldn't you have known the answer already when she had all her teeth and was smoking hot? :baiting:

We need to get this thread hopping, as two weeks from now the festivities will all be over and we'll be wishing it was 2011 already :sumo:

This year I'm hoping to come home with a piece of quality artwork. A Neal Adams, Kirby or Byrne page are at the top of my list.

I didn't have any Giordanos pizza at C2E2 and I hope to rectify that by next Thursday at the latest.

I'm also going to bring a half dozen books for onsite, something I've never done before. :wishluck:
