Marty Mann
Always thought this might have started out as a pulp cover. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7321/9109234520_97d69734fa_z.jpg' alt='9109234520_97d69734fa_z.jpg'>IMG HOPALONG CASSIDY #24 mm
BOOT
World Around Us #2. Cover painting by Gerald McCann. When asked about his prolific output, McCann said, "People often ask me how I keep coming up with fresh ideas. I tell them I drink a lot." I always liked McCann's distinctive whiskey drinking cigar smoking storytelling. He produced some classic American comic stories. Like this story from Dell's classic Ghost Stories #1, written by John Stanley. Phew! Talk about intense! McCann gives you the physical feeling of these characters and the frightening action. Who else could have set the stage and played it out as well?
