A fairly recent purchase. It's not HG so those HG collectors, look away and close your eyes or throw tomatoes at it but it's a pretty LG copy and it didn't cost a zillion bucks.

Adventure Comics 256 in CGC 4.0 with OW/W PQ containing the origin of Green Arrow as drawn by the King:

Looks like exactly the copy I need, Steve, so no tomatoes thrown from me, just green eyes of envy.

The blue and yellow colour combination on #256 always impresses.

Picked up a decent copy of #290. Thought I'd share and give this thread a bump!

That's one pretty book, Dave. It's always been one of my favorite Adventure Comics covers; the combination of orange and blue are just striking. And of course I love pre Adventure Comics 300 Legion stories. Congrats on the pickup!

Sent my youngest off to college last week, so I've got some time on my hands. Here's a few of my most recent purchases.

First, some Krypto for Hepcat:

How about a couple Bizarros?

Great pair. Both unrestored?

When borock was with heritage he looked at a bunch of my books including both of these. He said that neither had restoration, and that the first should be pressed and would move up a few grades.

Steve's quick estimate was that the 2nd copy was a 3.0 and the nicer copy was 5.5 and could press to a 6.5, but this was a few years ago.

I just looked at the comiclink listings, and I think my copy looks way better than the 7.0 closing later today.

I don't know what the back cover looks like, but the front cover scan of your nicer copy is stunning.
