So will that make the second print worht more than the first because of the print run?

And what about Larry's 1,000 print variant run?

No to both. The first print is always worth more and more desirable even though the second prints and "limited" editions have less copies out there, the first print is always most coveted. See Chew or Invincible.

Honestly, I don't think the shops in our area even ordered any of the second print because bay area shops usually don't even pay attention to Image books.

Hi guys,

Not ALWAYS true.

It depends if the new version is different enough to be sought after by collectors. If it is a nicer version, and more limited than the 1st print in some cases it sells for more. Its a case by case.

Example: Jetpack Anita blake #1 regional Shop variant sells higher than 1st print

Why: its more limited and an original pencil sketch

Example: Hastings true Blood #1 regional Shop variant sells higher than 1st print

Why: it's more limited and a foil version of J. Scott Campbels cover

Example: Larry's Image United #1 regional Shop variant sells higher than 1st print

Why: its more limited and original pencil sketch

just a few recent examples off the top of my head. research it.

If its only the same cover with a shop logo they tend to be oddities, not really sought after. ( see Invincible )

Morning Glories Special Edition is 6x rarer than the 1st print regular cover & has a FAR nicer exclusive cover image IMHO.

"If" Morning Glories is a series that interests you, you should get to your LCS on 09/15. That's the day #2 ships. It is ALLREADY going to backorder in Diamonds system. it's OOP (out of print) that is confirmed.

Out of curiosity & with all due respect, how can you sell these 9.4 to 10.0

at $19.99 yet a boardie on here can sell them pre screened guaranteed 9.8 for $16? Surely no-one can get your stuff cheaper than you can they?

Hey guys,

giving you a heads up.

I heard the 1st print was 6k (unconfirmed)

I'll bet anything it was NOT 17,000. The book has decent legs just based on artwork alone. not to mention Nick Spencer is revamping Thunder Agents for DC. The covers are amazing.

Unless this book is optioned for a tv / movie series chew it ain't. BUT the cover artist does make this book special. It will be sought after.

I ordered a special edition for NYCC, its really blowing up. it's going to be a monster for the next 6 months.

grab a few. They will be 9.4-10.0

Oh and did I forget to mention that the book alone is $20 plus $17 for the grading.. which means the book is $37... or just buy it here for a guaranteed CGC graded 9.8 for $40

How can you go wrong with that? :o

:baiting: go for it. Cause you know the book is only going to go up. It's was only a matter of time before demand for a true variant came out, and only with a print run of 1,000 for the variant 6,000 for the first print, and less than 3,000 for a second print.. well need I say more?

You can. Buy a higher quantity.

Collectors and dealers buy comics in different quantaties.

price on the site is for single (1-49) copies of my book.

I do offer discounts at the 50, 100 & case mark

hope that answers your question.

may I quote you a case (200) price?
