comix4fun
Personally, I am going to wait for this to air and I am going to tell everyone I know to watch it on AMC. I want the ratings to be high, I want this series to succeed. I DON'T want some web leaked episode to bleed viewers from the show and cost the show ratings points. Other than info that may be collected from DVRs, don't you have to be a Nielsen family for it to count anyway? I'm not watching it online because that's just illegal. Plus, I want it to be Halloween night when I see it. If you watch it on cable, they know EXACTLY who's watching and how many of them are watching. Same thing with cable company supplied DVR's. You can't get better than WD on Halloween night. Watching it now is like opening your Christmas presents early and trying to unsee the Star Wars Creature Cantina you asked Santa for. Unless your cable system uses switched digital, how would they have any idea? Your TV/PVR tuner doesn't communicate what channel it's tuned to. It's like the water pipe in your house being on all the time. The water co. doesn't know if you had a glass of water or watered your lawn or let it go right down the drain. Mine seems to know what I am watching, I get suggestions for shows and free offers for pay per view based on my recording preferences. Also whenever I call my cable company they can tell me what I was watching, and control my box by remote. So I dunno. Maybe my tinfoil helmet has a structural defect and they are getting in that way. comix4fun
-1 I disagree. Many parents will be taking there kids out for trick or treating so I expect that the first episodes rating could be pretty low. What time is it airing in your area? In Chicago it's airing at 9PM. On the east coast it's 10PM. Trick or Treating will long done and finished well before the Dead begin to Walk where we are.
Transplant
It's probably that you're using their DVR. I think Tivo does some anonymized reporting of shows watched. Obviously it pays attention b/c I get recommendations based on what I like and/or record.

Thomas Nielsen
I don't care about spoilers for the tv show, but i don't want my comics spoiled too much. But if people prefer spoiler tags we will use them, right..RIGHT Someone make a poll, they seem so popular these days, don't forget to include a crack option... I downloaded the pilot and the quality was about as good as my favorite porn vhs tape from the late 80's. I watched about 5secs before deleting that carp again. There must be different versions out there. The one I downloaded was pretty good quality. I was able to watch it at Fullscreen size on my computer. I agree that if the version you get is crappy, just wait 10 more days.
Claudio
I hear the crappy version had a character named T-Dog in it!

maloney414
I set my DVR to record the Spike TV Scream awards because I saw they were going to have a Walking Dead clip. Kirkman won for best comic book and the actress who plays Lori and the actor who plays Shane were there too. They showed a clip of Rick shooting a zombie in the head which was totally awesome with lots of detail. They then switched to the audience reaction which was hilarious. Anna Paquin from True Blood had a disgusted look on her face like WTF.
maloney414
I remember reading or hearing Kirkman say at one point that Morgan was suppose to be the "Tyreese" character but things changed as he was writing it. I hope he changes it back and uses Morgan in the TV show instead. I liked the Tyreese character, nothing against him at all. I just think the actor they got for Morgan is a really good actor. jonjesper
The actor for Morgan was on a fantastic show called Jericho (I am sure most of you watched it and enjoyed it...ended too soon...). I would love to see him in every episode!!!
maloney414
I was hooked on Jericho too. Shame people didn't watch it and they had to cancel it.

Love AMC this time of year. I spent the last week taking a walk down memory lane and watching all those Friday the 13th movies from the 80's. Boozad
I have Halloween Director's Cut, Halloween 2 and Trick 'r' Treat lined up to watch over the weekend. We don't get the WD premiere until November 5th so I have to drag Halloween out a little bit longer.
