Brock and Board, Where are we now? An Update........

491 posts in this topic

Hey, did you notice in the large picture you posted the case is cracked on the left?

Here is the photo off the Ebay listing. Is there a crack on the left like is in the current board picture?

He says in his sales thread it's something from the scanner.

Something from the scanner? It looks like a crack to the left side.

I wonder if at the end of the Ebay listing he realized it had a crack, and then was concerned if he sent it he'd have to refund the $11 reholder fee (plus shipping)?

If that was the case, then honesty would have been the better way to go.

Well if someone didn't get spanked before over this book someone is getting spanked now :)

Exactamondo! Which brings me to the next issue, what kind of spider? aaaand, what was the spider doing around the slabs in the frist place....a renegade perhaaaaaaaps......???? hm

And, did he smash the spider in his scanner and then leave it there?

Cruel!

I'm calling the Protection of Spiders Society (PSS) right now.

this sort of behaviour just makes ebay the lottery/minefield it is today.

the opposite of buyer's remorse it appears to be.

the lame 'little boy cracking out the book' excuse is so transparent.

poor form.

Well, look on the positive side: he didn't shill bid....

True, very true. No need to shill if you have no plans to sell the book anyhow? If it sells for a good price ship it out, if not break out the "my dog ate it" story.

Yep, but how many times could you use that? Seems like he panicked/threw a tantrum, without bothering to think it through. At this point, he threw away his name for 40 dollars..... somehow I'm betting he would pay even more than that now to clear this up and make this problem go away.

If he were to send the book to you now, gratis, or even for the original 20.50, would that fix it for you? Or for the others here - would you trust this guy now?

Dear nochips,

I appreciate you bid and I see you win this auction. Unfortunately I

have to refund your money. You see my little boy and his friend thought

it would be neat to crack open a few of the comics I down from the upper

shelf for sale and read them. This comic is no longer slabbed and has

been damaged. I apologize again for the inconvience and I will refund

your money.

That's a very dexterous and strong little boy he has there...
