Brock and Board, Where are we now? An Update........

491 posts in this topic

One of our very own board members ripped me off on ebay. I won a nice CGC book for far less than GPA; it was a great deal for me.

The "seller" claims the book was then damaged and ruined and he would not complete the deal. I complained to ebay, they did nothing, as usual.

Now I see the book for sale our our very own boards.? Should I call out the seller? Do you guys want to do business with someone that does not honor their word/deals?

I sent him a PM, calling him out, and I really want to bus-roll him for this. Do you want to know, do you care?

Did he read the PM?

I am all for fixing issues before making them public, but if you have proof he lied and won't fix the problem I say "FIRE AWAY", people need to know about this kind of thing before dealing with that person.

And I am now adding "bus-roll" to my personal lexicon.

Wow...that is not cool if it's the same book. If it was me, and I had another book of the same grade, I would have offered that one for the same price. Has he answered you back? I'm not sure I would call it "ripped off" if he refunded your money but it sure is pretty shady. Sorry to hear about this. I know I've had stuff on eBay that has not sold for what I feel it should have, but that's the roll of the dice if you don't start it at the minimum that you want for it or have a reserve.

Dear nochips,

I appreciate you bid and I see you win this auction. Unfortunately I

have to refund your money. You see my little boy and his friend thought

it would be neat to crack open a few of the comics I down from the upper

shelf for sale and read them. This comic is no longer slabbed and has

been damaged. I apologize again for the inconvience and I will refund

your money.

Have you compared the serial numbers? Is this the exact same book?

same kind of thing.

Interesting. If that had happened to one of my sales, I would have offered the book (and the case) at a discount and see if the buyer would still be interested.

I mean, why wouldn't you? Then you could resubmit the book for a small fee.
