cracking out PLODs and selling them without disclosure. or simply buying a coverless comic and taping it on, selling it as "with small pieces of tape on spine".

kind of stupid though- not even bothering to buy the comics he's reselling on another account.

ah... my bad. had tried to do a search, but i might've been looking in the wrong section. on an ebay-related note, i have been pretty happy with robojo33. of course it's just been low-value high-midgrade comics, so probably not worth the trouble to trim or anything.

a crook when it comes to comics graded 9.0+, sure. i've only won 3 auctions from him, average grade of the comics 7.0-8.0, and i don't see any evidence that they've been altered. i can see not buying from him on principal, but sometimes it's nice to get some cheap comics.

damn, bijoubaby05 has eyes everywhere. this thread hadn't been up 30 minutes and i had an ebay message from him. guess he'd kept my mail asking why he was selling that ASM with the cover taped back on. i wonder if that AF 15 he has up now with "a few small pieces of tape on the spine which is hardly noticeable" is another one of those scotch-tape restorations.

He may not be making his scam money off of you, but if you do business with him in any capacity you're helping to fund his criminal endeavors.

I'm sure you'd also be quite happy dealing with rapists and child pornographers so long as their books were cheap and they hadn't actually raped you.
