Chalk it up to bad luck I guess, that the seller you used as a positive example, has literally bilked this community out of thousands of dollars. Lots and lots of sellers on Ebay, you just happened upon a Hall of Fame D bag (shrug)

 

Avoid the casinos, nothing good can come of it for you.

 

yeah. i've gotten lots of good stuff on ebay over the years. i guess it's probably best to avoid the people whose only job appears to be selling comics on ebay (unless they have an actual physical comic book store and are just selling some online too). i do love gambling though... sometimes you get . sometimes you get a 9.6-9.8 new mutants 87 and 98 for $11 (it happened just a couple of weeks ago) or a VF marvel team-up #1 thrown in as a bonus book (happened 2 years ago).

 

Seriously do you enjoy the multiple beatings you are getting? Robojo33 is a crook. He has s-c-r-e-w-e-d more collectors in this hobby than most of the other scuz eBay comic book sellers combined. People here have tried to tell you that we as a community do not support him or buy from him. You are new so many would have given you a chance to understand the situation and at least accept opinion here and shut up about it. But you keep going on and on. You are entitled to your view and yes you can buy from whomever you want but show a little graciousness and shut the *spoon* up about a sensitive topic here.

 

Not even Roy could find a way to spin this to help out an ignorant noob like you. :jokealert:

Never a dull moment, for sure.

 

It's been said here before, there are people who would step over their own mothers to get a good deal on a comic book. It's sad, but that's why people like robo are still in business. Thankfully I never got screwed by him, but I took about a grand of losses from lexerific and makemeanofferandwin before I came on the boards :tonofbricks:

i may be a noob, but no shill. just realized that one of the comics i have packed up and ready to ship to CGC for the steranko signing is a robojo book, so i'll have some evidence one way or another in... 2 months. damn economy-tier turnaround. hoping it doesn't come back purple, but even if it does, the purple on a sig series book doesn't look that bad.

 

Well, for your sake I hope it doesn't come back restored. Think of all the great deals you'll be able to get from Robojo in good conscience. If he hasn't screwed you recently, he hasn't screwed anyone ever, right?

Here's more information about Ebay Seller: CD Pauli, Makemeanofferandwin & Lexerific, who yes, are all one & the same. His email address associated with these accounts is the same: cowtipper6d9@hotmail.com. This person is selling restored books as unrestored, and many people are loosing their shirts with this person.

 

If you sell comics on or off Ebay as I do (feel free to check my website: www.cloudninecomics.com), please do not sell to this person either, as he's doing nothing to better our hobby/industry. His real name (at least I think) is: Narbeh Harutunian and he lives in southern CA.

 

He just contacted me via my Cloud 9 site trying to purchase $3000 in comics from me, of which many of the books were restored (Incredible Hulk #1 CGCSS 2.0, X-Men 94 8.5 raw with color touch, and a Hawkman #! CGC 8.0 which I actually bought as unrestored from this person on Ebay as a raw unrestored 9.2... so his grading is high too!!).

 

I did a simple Google search on his name, which lead to a few CGC forums about him with similar info as above. I am also planning on posting his ID's & info in my next Overstreet market report (assuming they permit me, but to not, would only be doing the hobby a disservice).

Your email address is the exact same here as your Ebay ID, so the evidence is conclusive. I actually lost quite a bit of money buying "unrestored" books from both CD Pauli & Lexerific on Ebay, and when the books were all sent to CGC, and all came back as restored I tried contacting you for a refund which you refused.

sorry for not agreeing with the board concensus clearly enough for you to comprehend. let's break down what i said into managable chunks:

2) "Lots and lots of sellers on Ebay" - and i respond "yeah. i've gotten lots of good stuff on ebay over the years." . " i do love gambling though... sometimes you get . sometimes you get a 9.6-9.8 new mutants 87 and 98 for $11 (it happened just a couple of weeks ago) or a VF marvel team-up #1 thrown in as a bonus book (happened 2 years ago). " talking about taking a gamble on the OTHER ebay sellers. the "gee, i don't know much about comics. it looks ok, here's a fuzzy picture" kind of sellers.

It's the supporting of the smaller wankstains that really makes Harold stand out, like a big hard log in the middle of a pile of 'morning after a Vindaloo' splatter.
