I thought there was a thread on here a few years back where someone started a thread and member could post comic books they owned that they believed no other members of the forum owned but I couldn't locate it via search?

 

So if someone can find the original link please post it here and or if you have a rare comic that you don't believe anyone else has a copy of then please post it here so we can see some of the rarer or more obscure titles in board members collections (thumbs u

 

Great idea for a thread.

 

There are two types of comics near the top of the pyramid of collecting:

 

1. The best condition copies of desirable comics

2. Truly rare, as in possibly unique, comics

 

Interest in the first is being pretty well developed through CGC's revolutionary business.

 

The second still has lots of room for growth. That's what exciting to me about comic collecting - finding the rare ones!

Here's my copy of Comic Cavalcade 63. It was the second issue of CC I obtained after #19. Maybe it's not so rare after all?

Here's a one-of-a-kind book with some of Carl Bark's earliest work, Coo Coo Comics:

 

Fortunately, I picked up a reprint of that Coo Coo book so I could enjoy the cartoons. I also purchased a lot of Calgary Eyeopeners. Does anyone else have this issue?

I found one of those in a bunch of incomplete comics that I purchased. I also sold a complete copy to Terry's Comics.

This is one of the few pre 1966 Batman items. It is listed as only scarce in the Hakes guide but it is beyond rare.
