hi to all. was just wondering if any other forum members collect any of the Archie comics.

 

just started to collect again. if so what ones do you enjoy to collect

My favorites are the Life of Archie stories of the early 70's and the Christmas issues. Some good memories there.

Love them Archie's. Trying to put a collection together of every digest ever printed. I love the old Archie digests but I think the stories from the late 90's and on are kind of lame.

i only got into archie and the gang in the past few years. im after any horror/si fi cover, christmas issue or cheryl blossom appearances

Now that was funny heh heh. Sometimes I tell my son that I tried to name him Jughead or Archie but that his mom had the first choice on him so she picked Christian.

So how complete are your guys' digest collections?

I collect any comics with Archie. I've got all 8,000 plus digest and comics with Archie and/or one of his gang in them.

 

There are a few giveaways I'm still looking for and I never collected Katy Keene, so from time to time, I find a Katy with a short Archie story buried in side (still a way to treasure hunt for me)

I have read and collected Archie for 33 years. Prefer to read the late 50's to mid 60's period but focus collecting dollars on mid to high grade golden age. Have a huge box of well read and very weathered digests that hopefully will be enjoyed by my kids soon.

sounds neat. i like the winter covers.

 

hard to find nice copies.
