Yep.. Having read this book myself, I can say it did more for me than the expectations I had for Rocket Raccoon #1 a few months ago. Mark Pinky's words here. I really think this book has legs. Long, furry, Squirrel powered legs.

I haven't had a chance to read this series, is picking up the first trade a decent starting point, or is it really a slow start?

I liked the 1st trade a lot. It covers 5 issues for $9.99. There is 1 major character introduced in iss ue #6. I think you'll like it but I'm super sold on the story.
