What would you do, Part the Second...

1,096 posts in this topic

This particular sentence is cringe worthy, wish Conan had not typed this.

"Nobody is forcing a "second" shipping charge on RMA--he just didn't get one comic he wanted."

Yeah, there's a real easy solution to all of this.

The more people that read that particular explanation the more "expensive" that $3.95 shipping charge is going to feel to Lonestar.

Yep.

Anybody get the feeling a PM exchange may be going on even as we speak?

No PM exchange here...

Well, at least between myself and anyone representing Lonestar.

;)

There IS some sort of ubernerd exchange going on with some guy pretending to be a Korean sous chef, but that's unrelated...

My solo mycomicshop experience:

I ordered a comic book listed as an 8.0. I didn't think it close to the general criteria for an 8.0, so I threw it on "Buddy, Can You Spare a Grade". No one else thought it was an 8.0, most thought it a 6.0.

mycomicshop took it back -- but I was out the original $9 shipping and the $9 I spent shipping it back.

I just keep thinking that if someone could have looked at the book a bit more closely when shipping it out, I wouldn't have had to punt the $18.

Not a big deal in the big picture of things, (shrug) but I am not too impressed with a de facto argument that they are, in effect, too busy to be careful. :sumo:

Conan, I'm a fan of yours but can't agree with you. I understand these are low

value books and from my experience your shipping rates are lower than anyone

else but failing to ship a book that is in stock is your responsibility not RMA's.

If the book was out of stock you should notify the buyer before shipping.

Somebody should start a thread where buyers can rate dealers in specific categories with marks out of ten.
As soon as a company that grades comics creates a message board that is.
