This has been a fantastic year for me and my grail hunts. My updated Top Five now includes:

Amazing Adventures 11 CGC 9.8 (white)

Amazing Spider-Man 122 CGC 9.8 (white)

Amazing Spider-Man 121 CGC 9.8 (white)

The above three are all beautiful books with old blue labels.

X-Men 94 CGC 9.6 (off-white)

X-Men 101 CGC 9.8 (white)

 

I picked up all but the AA 11 this year.

 

But, the ultimate grail that I received just a few weeks ago is my son Robbie yay.gif

You'll notice that I left X-Men 114 CGC 9.8 (white) off the list foreheadslap.gif

 

But the ASM 121 & 122 make up for it. They were both the first copies to get a 9.8 grade and they are tight. I'll post pics when I can get them scanned.

 

Mr. HighGrade's X-Men 94 is also a beauty and so is BronzeBruce's X-Men 101. You meet some great people on these Boards.

 

And Robbie is definitely uber-grade even if he is raw.

I'm still sorting out what comics I plan to keep for myself and what comics I plan to sell. (I still have to sell off another $43,900 worth) But as soon as I have figured out what I'm keeping I'll get everything together and take one or two pics with everything in it.

I don't even own 5 grails, but I do have one that is a personal grail and that's Hawkman #4, the first appearance of Zatanna. Hopefully I will own the following someday:

Uncanny X-Men #19 (both in low grades)

Uncanny X-Men #266 CGC 9.6 White

The New Teen Titans #2 mid grade

Simpsons Comics #1 NM (cause I love the Simpsons)

 

meager grails but more will come
