Jeffro.
Saying he is "not fighting the good fight here" is (and I say this with all due respect) totally arrogant. It bugs the snot out of me when you and other people claim to know what the good fight is or that you need to "protect" other boardies from RMA. +1 The white kinghts need to protect us from the evil RMA. They must. They really must. I will just refer to their mother's as hampsters and their fathers as smelling of elderberries and say good day to them. GOOD DAY SIRS! sckao
Here's my perspective: Everyone starts with a "reservoir of goodwill"... usually more positive than neutral. Hardly anyone starts with a negative. Your actions here either add to that reservoir, take away from it, or don't alter it. Once it's depleted for some people, it's that much harder to get back as people tend to have long memories.
Prince Namor
He is NOT persecuted. It just looks that way because he picks so many arguments with people. The irony of you saying this is classic.

I'll be glad to take your examples, of me picking arguments with people, offline. Feel free to PM me or post them here. Frankly, you don't register on my radar much except when you're defending RMA, so I can't recall if we have any history. But you have something of a hard on for me it appears. seanfingh
Tubthumping, stumping for votes and fomenting negative energy against a Boardie that is a cootch hair away from getting banned will act as internet Levitra at times. YMMV.

Once it's depleted for some people, it's that much harder to get back as people tend to have long memories. The day that someone's 'goodwill' is depleted for me, I'll put them on ignore and be done with it. I won't proclaim to everyone how I've put them on ignore, or throw passive aggressive remarks their way or spend time creating threads to remind everyone I don't like them or think they are a 'cancer'. There are a small handful of people on here who rub me the wrong way.... very small... and I still don't have them on ignore. I just stay away from the Water Cooler, er, I mean those discussions and instead concentrate on the topics I find entertaining with the people I enjoy discussing them with. The internet fanboy machismo is very strong here. Sometimes you just have to grow up and be bigger than it.

comix4fun
It is almost always patently false. He is not causing trouble. He is zealously, vociferously and aggressively debating all of the points that he feels are worthy of his efforts. If you don't like it, go away. I did. Go find the last time I really engaged RMA. It was about the comics distribution system. I thought he was full of mess, but he kept on steaming along. Finally I gave up. He is still my friend, even though I think he was cuckoo for cocoa puffs for thinking that he knows exactly what may or may not have happened with pallets of Silver Surfer #4s circa 1969. These are posts on an internet chat board and the haters get themselves wound so frickin tight about his posts and then they blame him. HUH? The bottom line is that haters want him gone, and they follow him around to goad him into engaging all of them at once and making himself look like he is frothing at the mouth, because they want him gone. The real question is whether he will stop taking the bait before the haters get what they want. Really? He's a petulant blowhard who get his jollies from "winning" internet arguments - either through outright bullying or by dissecting every single minute detail of any previous post and then following it up with a wall of text designed specifically to make other people leave in exasperated disgust. Man, if I had a dollar for every guy on this message board who loves to "win the internets" in every thread, or loves and lives to correct everyone else's least little mistake, or is unnecessarily strident, petty, suffers from delusions of forum grandeur I would be able to afford Chainnball's doubled signed MM #15. It seems more of a prereq. to be a member of this board than it is an exception. With all due respect, Larson-disparager, this is weak sauce. RMA, while not alone, is not your run of the mill, arguing type, Internet chat board guy. Those guys would be model T-800s. RMA is a T-1000. And he can quote me on that. About half the guys arguing with him before he got the 3 week vacation last time were engaging in the same type of "wall of text, down-to-the-syllable parsing" posts to the Nth degree in their attempts to prove that RMA was the petty, de-minimis detail loving, interwebs argument machine. They couldn't hear people calling out the contradiction because of the pots and kettle yelling racial slurs at each other. By "half" you mean "one", right? I remember 4 people going hard at him in that thread and 2 started bisecting and vivisecting his posts. One guy went full wall of text with interspersed posts doing a line by line post mortem discussion of RMA's posts before the whole shebang got nuked. So two out of the four actually arguing against him were doing the exact same thing they were berating him for all along.

The real question is whether he will stop taking the bait before the haters get what they want. I don't see much following and goading in this last round of frothiness. Nope, just Bosco calling him a "scummer." My memory might be fuzzy, but I sat through the catfight and I don't recall Nick calling Rocky a "scummer." Did he cross the line of poor taste and judgment in his argument? Yes, certainly. Should he have just shut his mouth and let it go? Most assuredly. But the main point he was making was that Rocky's behavior impacts people's willingness to deal with him on a business level. As dismissive as Rocky or anyone else might be of this point, it is undeniably true (and would be true of anyone else who engages in polarizing behavior on this board). What's a "scummer"?? Is it onomatopoetic"?

Transplant
All night long my body burned The sheets were wet and cold The lights were on, my eyes were gone And any second lose control The pounding in my window Or just the pounding in my head I wonder who was in my room that night Who the hell was in my bed? There must have been a body there I swear I smelled some flesh It took a little time but I figured they were mine There were fingers going down my chest My mouth went through the ceiling And my body fell to the floor I couldn't find a key 'cause there was nothing I could see And so I ran through the door The cops, the priest, the crisis line And no one really had a clue No one to tell us who was touchin' me Or exactly what I should do My throat was dry, my hopes were high But nothing really ever got said But who was in my room that night? Who the hell was in my bed?
