Little Nemo in Slumberland is a comic strip way ahead of his time,

dark and surreal at some times, I will call it the Neil Gaiman book of his time.

It's also something all Mike Kaluta fans should check out.  I recommended it to a boardie who was blown away when he saw McCay's artwork.
