While going through my collection looking for Christmas covers, I ran

across this FOUR COLOR I haven't looked at for a very long time.

I remember trying to find a favorite title on a crowded newsstand when they

went and changed the cover characters like STAR SPANGLED #95 (Last

ROBIN cover) and STAR SPANGLED #96 (First TOMAHAWK cover).

Here's another one from January 1945...unfortunately the cover to this

MORE FUN #101 was lost over these many years...but it does have the

first SUPERBOY.

I very much enjoyed looking through the entire thread this morning. The Spirit 22 and Phantom Stranger books you posted are by far my favourites.

 

You mentioned that your sons collected comics as well. What are some of the cool books from there hey day?

Thank you for your kind words...I guess their favorites would include The AVENGERS

and The INVADERS plus SPIDERMAN, HULK, IRON MAN and STAR WARS. Their

interests are wide ranged.
