I remember that the owner of the newsstand kept these titles up

high on the back shelve...out of reach, so you had to ask him to

get it for you.

That was a smart way for the shop owner to keep EC books and the like out of the hands of young children. I bet if he thought you were too young for an EC book, he's say so and not hand one to you.

I was always pleased to find a comic on the newsstand that was

based on a radio program that I was listening too...there was that

element of discovery.

Someday you should see if you could get a group shot of them and post in the group shot thread.

I had forgotten how many different models of Air Rifles DAISY made

until I ran across this ad on the back of IDEAL #4 from Spring 1945-6.

They also sold a variety of "Play Guns" which you could order directly

from DAISY.

"You'll shoot yer eye out" Hi Marty! I've been following your thread for a while. Glad you are here and posting your stuff. I thought I was a "big cheese" buying the first Marvels at cover price!

Great copy of a very tough EC to find in nice shape, Marty. One of my fave issues -- that's a gem! :)

Ran across this while going through my comics. It's from ADVENTURE

COMICS #120...and I can truly say I didn't remember this story and I don't

know if there were any more "Cub Reporter" stories after this one.
