As predicted after many collectors flooded CGC with their garbage (sorry meant their cherished collectibles) pre-price hike, the tide has past and they are back to weekly getting through that weeks mail deliveries.  

2 months to flatten the shipping curve is finally here.

Infections, I mean deliveries are coming back down!

They have had a walkthrough so long my credit card expired.. true story,on my 6.8 WT I got an invoice yesterday with a balance due, I replied just use the card on file and they said it just expired, I guess going forward I will have to check to make sure I use a card with at least a year to spare when submitting.

After my modern non-fast-track books have been sitting in "Received" since 03/17 (yep, 5 months), they are now in "Received at CCS". 

I don't see that status anywhere in the help. Since pressing (obviously) goes before grading, does it mean that my waiting period of >100 days for the actual pressing a) starts now; or b) is over and the pressing will begin shortly?

I assume this change in status means they are now actually received.  So 5 months before pressing, then it goes to grading and sits there for another 2-5 months right?

Looks like they finally found my 2x boxes of books in the warehouse!!!! They were loaded in to the system today. Hoping they expedite the grading on some of these

Anyone else waiting on books from March?  It's at 104 business days now when the TAT then was 55.  They are holding on to a TMNT #1 so I am getting a bit concerned.  I called but she could not really tell me anything than its SFG which of course I knew.

Given it's a magazine tier, yes I have Modern mags delivered Feb 24th but marked received March 17th that are still GEI.

I have Economy tier mags, that "should take longer" delivered and received the same time already shipped back to me and put in a box so (shrug) 

I have no idea, I call, they say something to the effect, "it's backlogged, random books get picked first, the estimation isn't time yet, they're in the grading room-no they're in encapsulation" and so on :foryou:

mine have been on their premises since March 22 and they show as Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging  as a catch all....so who knows where they are. also books in the same shipment just showed received at CCS this week!

These are my first submissions and I have to say I am completely unimpressed.  Is this typical? The stated turnaround was about 60 working days when I submitted..

It's typical of late.

But not normally, cgc did a price hike around April and May that resulted in a swarm of submissions before the price hike went into effect.

So this "year" has been hectic , but they've had more times that were "better" so to speak. Usually con season was like this but more orderly .

Doesn't help me though. I have a few time sensitive books in that shipment (first Carnage, TMNT #1, Black widow #1 variant, DMZ #1,Shazam #1 etc) that I was hoping to get back. It is not looking good..

My sub TATs have been all over the place.  

Standard Slow-Track submission received 5/13/21 has been stuck in G/E/I for a month.  

meanwhile...

Standard Slow-Track submission received 6/8/21 showed up completed at my doorstep on 7/24/21.  That's a 33-day TAT (!!).  

Standard Slow-Track submission received 8/4/21 just moved to G/E/I today.  

I have no idea what to make of this besides just watching it all unfold.
