Anyone know what days CGC will be closed next week for Christmas? I have a order about to ship any day so I was wondering how that would impact it.

 

I asked them on Facebook:

 

CGC Comics 12/25 and 1/1/14 - otherwise we are here for you!! Have a great holiday!

 

 

Wow that sucks for employees. Planning on loading up on some moderns after the new year before the Con season starts

So they have passed their 15-business day turnaround on the Collectors' Society Coupon. Dec 20, 2013 is business day #17 ...

 

CGC updated my invoice to reflect books shipped Dec 20, 2013.

 

SUMMARY: Collector's Society Coupon (stated 15-business day turnaround) ... actual 17 business days.

That is good. I've got one 11/27 modern FT SS that hasn't gotten past graded yet, and it has been there since the 13th.

 

EDIT: It finally made QC today, after 6 business (10 total) days on graded.

CGC's turn around times seem to be all over the map. Modern FT received 12/4 shipped 12/24 - in 14 business days when the website currently shows 20. So good. Modern FT are supposed to be 10 so they appear to be getting caught up.

 

But the books I sent in on 12/4 also included an invoice for Standard. !5 day TAT. Those are still sitting at verified - at day 15. The logic escapes me. Standard is 2x the cost of Modern FT. Why would you let this service tier slip?

Monderns shipped/ safe 12/26

Economy fast track still verified

 

Should I be worried both say 20 business day turnaround

 

I had an 11/27 FT modern that has already shipped, and an 11/25 FT Economy that is only SFG. Both of those are supposed to be 20 day TATs, and the order with the more expensive service tier is the one still sitting in Florida not graded yet.

The strange thing is that I have a FT economy verified the same day from the same show that is still at verified.
