Okay, I know not technically Golden Age but along with Dectective Dan and Bob Scully this is one of the earliest comicbooks with original material....rare...rare....rare.....jon

The Cap #74 is out there in lower grades. I have yet to see an 8.0 or higher copy.

Heritage sold a Canadian version in CGC 8.0 back in July 2002 for $6,612.50.

Good call on Detective 24. Very tough book.

Interpreting this to mean my favorite comicbook cover.....here it is Mystery Men 3 by Lou Fine. It is the one book I got a bit "piggy" about....here is the Church copy obtained in 1995

....and this is the Larson copy, obtained in 1992....note the erased "Lamont Larson" in the white body....(while probably technically the same grade, the "Larson" is "whiter")

An absolutely gorgeous book!!! In fact, I considered issues #1 through #10 of the Mystery Men run to be the BEST first 10 issue run of any GA comic series from a cover image point of view. Just absolutely stunning covers virtually all the way through.

 

BTW: Do you still have the entire Church run for the Mystery Men series intact?

Yes, I do. There is no copy of 21,22 or 23....some of the ending issues by Patenade are great.. I will get to them at one point....jon
