Tonight's a good night for TV.

 

HBO has the new True Detective, and two new pilots I want to check out: Ballers and The Brink.

 

 

How was the first episode of True Detective?

 

I was just about to ask you guys the same thing. :)

 

I ended up doing other stuff and wasn't able to watch anything last night. I'm hoping to see it tonight.

 

I liked it but it is just a quick introduction to the characters and a bit of their backstory. I am in for episode 2 cor sure.

 

I finally saw TD2 and Ballers last night. I like them.

 

TD2 - My only complaint so far is that Farrell's character would be in jail right now after the brass knuckles episode. I like the slow pace and the long atmospheric shots (a lot of people don't). Vince Vaughn is fun to watch too.

 

Ballers - Interesting concept. Dwayne Johnson is HUGE. lol

 

Anyone see The Brink yet?

 

Agree on TD. I am in but yeah, dumb move but maybe consequences show up in the next episode.

 

The Brink was pretty good. I like Jack Black but he is kind of obnoxious in this one so far. Tim Robbins, who I have only liked as Laloosh L A Loosh or in Shawshank, was really good. Dig it.
