Huh? Yes it is a funny comic, and was in my top 5 childhood favorites! But why on earth is it at $1500+?

Has demand increased in some way that small supply of a zero interest issue is now way too tiny? Or a Case of 2 registry collectors that need the book? Or situation where Black Bolt attempting to sing "Satisfaction" or What If "Conan was "Bing (Crosby) Conan" is now sought after?  Perhaps the truly masterful What If "White Tiger fought Wendigo in a blizzard?" page?  1st Marvel Hot Foot cover?

 

Disclosure: I do own a copy but I simply do not get why the sudden interest?

Auction ended, no bids after the initial few hours.  Shenanigans not only called but confirmed IMHO!

All I can say is that if there is this much disposable income floating around that people can fritter it away on stuff like What if 34 in 9.8, I wish they'd send me just 5% of that and I'll put it to much more productive use.
