i have no idea what i was thinking. infinity gauntlet had already started to pick up, but IW 1 was still worthless, so I just unloaded like an insufficiently_thoughtful_person

i bought them in bulk out of a 3 for $2 box figuring they must be $3-$5 books here as IG 1 was $10-$25 or something crazy that minute and then i looked them up on ebay after buying them and saw they were selling for 99 cents on ebay and I said "F-this, I don't need this junk cluttering stuff up, let's unload them." brilliant, just brilliant, like my old habit of tossing in NM copies of Rom 1 as freebies.....

I happily admit that while I have plenty, I also had the chance to buy plenty more cheaply but didn't because condition wasn't as good and I preferred the space. I don't regret that....YET.

Does it really? I haven't seen any footage only one cast photo and a few shots of Margot Robbie's fat azz. Yes that photo looks poor and so does HQ but it's only a photo.

 

Volume 1 of SS is full of . Here are the only issues I would hold:

the ones i sold looked to be good 9.6 and maybe 9.8 candidates. they were right out of a long box of early 90s stuff that had been in the back of the storage room of the LCS for 20 years. also found stacks of spiderman 2099 #1 and pitt #1.

DKR has been rising steadily for a while now, steady and slow.

It's nice to see it start going up a bit faster now.

 

Both IG and DKR have to have huge print runs though, right...?

 

Dark Knight Returns is not measured by its print run. Its considered by many to be the most important copper age book at the time. The father of a new format, both in reading direction and printed format (the almighty prestige format). In the 80s, theres very little that came out by DC and Marvel that could compare to this Miller monster. The only way you could cash in on it was if you made a parody/spoof about it.. I think its the most swiped cover in the past 30 years
